I am positive and strong. I wonder how my life will be when I grow up. I hear my family talking. I see my family having fun. I want to get a PS5. I am positive and strong.

I pretend I am Spider-Man. I feel that I am cool which means I feel like I am a fun person to hang around with. I touch my past family members. I worry if I'm ok. I cry when I am hurt. I am positive and strong.

I understand that I have to go to school. I say I will be fine. I dream that I am Spider-Man because he is a superhero that has cool superpowers such as swinging on webs and crawling up walls which I wish I had. He also saves people and is my favorite superhero. I try to do good in school. I hope every day's a good day. I am positive and strong.

I Am Family.

by William Perez Jr.

I am from TV, my cell phone and basketball. I am from the warmness and coziness of my home. I am from the bamboo plant that grows in my living room.

I'm from the breaking night on Christmas Eve and on the stroke of midnight, presents are opened on Christmas Day and the bravery from my mom and dad. I'm from picking up after myself and staying healthy and from getting good hours of sleep.

I'm from being told to behave good and respect others the way I would want to be respected and don't do to others what you don't want to be done to you. I'm from celebrating Thanksgiving with my family. I'm from Brooklyn NY and I'm Dominican and Puerto Rican. I'm from eating pizza and rice, beans and chicken. From my aunt who died before I was born, who as a kid grew up singing and had an opera voice. Who was understanding, and loved to tell jokes and was easy to talk to. A picture of her and my great grandmother together is hung up on my living room wall so I can see who they are.
