Dear Parents and Guardians Now that the pupils have completed the PSLE Exam, the school will be engaging the pupils in Social Studies lessons as well as in the following Post Exam activities. Date Activity 8 Oct (Mon) Pupils will be engaged over 7 school days on an Art related programme entitled “Sand to Animation”. The programme will be conducted over 2 hours each day within the curriculum 12 Oct (Fri) hours. Sexuality Education Workshop for students by teachers for an hour each school day over the week. 15 Oct – 19 Oct PSLE Marking Exercise Days Mon - Thurs School holiday for all primary school children as teachers will be involved in the PSLE Marking Exercise duties. 23 Oct (Tues) Learning Journey to “Little India” for all P6 pupils from 9.00 – 2.00 pm. Pupils will report in PE attire. 25 Oct ( Thurs) School visit to Pei Hwa Sec School from 8.00 – 12.30 pm to participate in a “Financial Literacy Programme” and to be introduced to the core and non-core curricular programmes of the school. A separate notification outlining details of the school visit will be sent out nearer the date. 26 Oct ( Fri) Hari Raya Haji Public Holiday 7 Nov (Wed) Staff Admin Day – School holiday for P1 to P5 pupils. P6 pupils turn up for Graduation Ceremony from 11.00 – 12.00 noon. 14 Nov (Wed) Career Fair Awareness Programme for P5 and P6 pupils 16 Nov (Fri) No school on 16 Nov. Only the Prize recipients, Concert participants and pupils selected for duties during the Annual Prize Giving Day will report to school. Prize recipients will report to school in their school uniform at 7.30 am and will be dismissed by 11.30 am. 17 Nov (Sat) On 17 Nov, selected pupils will report to school to support teachers for the P1 Orientation Exercise. 22 Nov ( Thurs) ** Tentative date of release of PSLE results. Please keep a look out for news details and the newspapers on the release announcements. Pupils will report to collect results on release day from 12.00 noon at the school hall. A briefing will be conducted at 11.40 am for all parents on the procedure for choosing schools on the same morning before the release of results. 2. Distribution of S1 Information Booklet entitled "Choosing Your Secondary Schools for Admission to Secondary One in 2013” Please note that Pupil Placement Section (PPS) has produced the above information booklet to facilitate primary six pupils in choosing secondary schools during the S1 Posting Exercise in November 2012. All pupils have been issued a copy and there are no spare copies. Should your child not receive a copy or there are any defects/missing pages, please inform the school immediately. Please do ask your child about the booklet. It will be the reference copy for selecting the Secondary Schools once the PSLE results are released. It also has other important relevant information.
