The KOUZINA culinary festival KOUZINA is the premier culinary event of the year in Eastern Halkidiki! In the shadow of the sacred Athos, in the cove of the bay of Mount Athos, on the sandy Ammouliani Island, at the foot of the Aristotelian mountain, in the Strymonikos bay, in the Akantios Bay, on the verges of Cholomontas, we invite you to smell and taste our organic products and flavors in a magnificent culinary feast, in which you participate as of this day!

Enjoy! The «Akroyiali» Restaurant The «Akroyiali» restaurant is the most famous culinary destination on the Aristotelian mountain! Located by the sea frond, next to the birthplace of the greatest philosopher of Greek history, with a view to the walls of the Hellenistic city of Stageira, it offers dishes inspired by nature and history. Its cuisine is based on top-quality ingredients, blending marine tradition, flavors from Asia minor and the exclusive use of local, wholesome products: fresh seafood, delicious local meat, organic herbs from the Aristotelian Mount, fruits and nuts from the verdant forest, organic vegetables from the villagers' gardens, virgin olive oil from the groves of Pyrgadikia and so much more! Today, besides love, kindness and caring of the owners Dimitris Sarris and Louloudia Alexiadou, you will be offered a delicious menu, characterized from simplicity and gastronomical culture, prepared by chefs Kostas Boviatsis and Vasilis Berberakis and their female creative team from MARRIOT THESSALONIKI!

Menu THE FEAST OF THE ARISTOTELIAN OSMOSIS Soufflé, made by fresh feta cheese* (production of Olympiada) served with wild mushrooms** collected on Holomontas Mount, accompanied by dried fruit bread and honey (*Olympiada produces excellent quality of cheese, made from local goat milk) (**The wooded Cholomontas mount is known for its rich diverse flora and for the abundance of its natural assets. Six thousand plant and herb species grow on its slopes, which also bear its famous firs, and mushrooms -that grow everywhere- without human care. They thrive there because this is just how nature ordained. Every year around the beginning of autumn after the first rain has fallen, the residents of the mountain organise a big celebration where, after the rich mushroom harvest, they invite us all to the mountain to offer us their famous mushroom dishes, local wine and tsipouro and their warm hospitality, which is part of their lifestyle)

Mountovina Snap: Moudovina is a distillate of honey, produced only in Arnea by local beekeepers

Green leafy salad with byzantine «garos sauce» and raisins, served with smoked mussels*** selected in the local farms (***Olympiada is famous for its mussels’ production. The clean water of Strimonikos gulf, the Aristotelian Mountain with the rich vegetation, the virgin environment, the content of the sea water make the Olympiada mussels delicious, big, heavy, strong and healthy)

Cod fish**** served with smoked wild herbs***** collected on the Aristotelian Mountain accompanied by oxymeli sauce (****The fish and the seafood of Mount Athos are renowned for their exquisite flavor. The reason they are so different from the rest is that the waters of the bay are deep and clean, as the area has many sea currents and there are no organized cultivations to affect it. Thus, our seafood is caught in very deep waters, with the highest salinity in Greece, and rich in plankton and clean food, since no rivers or streams end up in the bay to disturb the balance of the water composition) (*****The wooded Aristotelian Mountain is known for its rich diverse flora and for the abundance of its natural assets)

The blessed sea of Strymonikos gulf! Next to the ancient town of Stageira and the holy Mount Athos peninsula, under the imposing top – symbol of Mount Athos lies a vast expanse of the Aegean Sea, which hosts the most magnificent beaches - fringed by the verdant slopes of Mount Athos - an important productive resource for the entire region. Fish of all kinds are caught by the local fishermen, transforming the picturesque fishing port of Oympiada into an everyday buzzing festival of creation!
