Wu Yi Ying Portfolio “Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.” 吳易易穎作品集 2016.10.20

About I have over 2 years experience in UI/ UX design. My education background in Industrial Design (HCI), combined with my working experience. I also have over ten years art and graphic education background. It helps me think about a product in a totally different way, especially in modeling and aesthetics. I have a lot of interesting in psychology. When I face to a product I'll try to use psychology theory to figure out why people hate or love it.

Breeze Reward Wireframe | Prototype | Interaction Design | Visual Concept |

It’s my first project in Richi. I need to deliver whole UI Design in only two weeks. It's certainly a challenge for me. Because we don’t really know what our client want. Our strategy is delivering a general UI pattern to our client. It helps them narrow down what feature and format they really want. And let them realize which is the most important feature in the first version. In this project I learned that detail wireframe is no need in the early stages of the developing a product. We need to use different strategy to help our client narrow and focus on their core features instead of creating an app has too many features and their users don’t even want it. iOShttp://ppt.cc/ODfMV Androidhttp://ppt.cc/Sg5zo

Field survey After app launch, I continue to work with our team on growth and engagement features. I really want to gather some real user feedback therefor I spent a weekend went to Breeze to do field visit and dictation interview. This research didn’t work as well as I thought, but I still collect a lot of inspiration from customer, service personnel and user experience.

Insight • New feature needs to be standing out in another way. • This app is a little service in this environment, but to improve the customer’s experience, we need to consider in a pig picture like whole customer experience service design. • We should help the client figure out their next goal, it could be saving service manpower, stimulating consumption or improve customer loyalty.

Insurance helper Wireframe | Prototype | Interaction Design |

“Insurance helper is a service application that build a connection between Insurance Specialist and their potential customer. As a UI/UX Designer I help our client figure out their business model and creating simple, delightful user experiences. My goal is to deliver intuitive design solutions that balance user need and business goals. For our client the most important user is insurance specialists.Every time they connect to a user. Our client can get revenues. In this project I need to consider the perspectives of insurance specialist and user.

Richi VIP Wireframe | Prototype | Interaction Design |

“RichiVIP is a mobile food order application that allows user to order their food and drinks from anywhere. Order ahead and pick up their drink without waiting in line or taking out their wallet. In February 2015, I joined Richi and worked with our team to deliver a better mobile order and pay experience. In this project my responsibility was to design an important new feature-enabling the user use credit card to pay for purchases with our app.

Other Projects Product concept | Wireframe | Prototype | Interaction Design | Visual Design

While working at Mobilogics, an IOT start-up, I have worked on several projects. I led design strategy, interaction design and visual design. My process involved heavy sketching, wireframing and prototyping, visual design, and collaboration with developers on the little details that matter. I enjoyed working closely with this small yet mighty team.

5

Microwave Interface Research I finished this project in my HCI course. It focuses on the microwave’s interface. My process involved defining the end user’s problems, context of facilitating user interviews and usability testing and writing surveys

6

Product Design My background in industrial design helps me focus on the problem itself and try to find the best solution from others. With my excellent hand sketching skill I can create a sketch quickly to help others understand my concept.

7

Graphic Design In my role as a product designer at Mobilogic I led brand design and advertisement design. And when I was in college, I work as a freelance designer working directly with my clients.

About my design • •

• •

Keep digging real user needs.

Try to wear others’ shoes (client, user, end-user, product manager, engineer)

Find a UI solution which can balance usability and business goal.

Understand every part’s priority in a wireframe.

Think about user’s feeling, environment and situation.

As a UI designer, I see visual in a totally different way. It helps me understand graphic design’s potential and limit.

Think, combine, use

Less is more
