Promoting solar energy in homes

The Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM) provides information to Guatemalans about the implementation of solar panels in homes to give solutions to energy consumption.

Recently, the Energy Fair highlighted the initiative promoted by the Government to generate energy through panels, financed by banks with loans under preferential conditions. The purpose of this measure is to improve the quality of life of people.

Joining forces

“In the government, we are working tirelessly to make initiatives like this a reality,” said President Alejandro Giammattei. He also highlighted, “if we join the forces of the Government with the institutions -such as the National Institute of Electrification (INDE), the banks- and the users, we will be able to do great things in favor of the economy of Guatemalans.”
