Horticultura guatemalteca llega a más mercados

Guatemalan Horticulture Reaches More Markets

El Ministerio de Agricultura, Ganadería y Alimentación (MAGA) ha brindado capacitaciones a los pequeños agricultores, con el propósito de que sus cultivos lleguen a más mercados.

Recientemente se produjo una reunión entre el MAGA y la Agencia de Cooperación Internacional del Japón (JICA), para que existan más agricultores capacitados en la metodología SHEP.

Estos pequeños agricultores han incursionado en los mercados a través de la venta de hortalizas, frutas, granos básicos y huevos.

By providing training to small farmers, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food (MAGA, in its Spanish acronym) expect their crops to reach more markets.

Cooperation

The MAGA recently met with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to increase the training of farmers in the SHEP methodology.

The small farmers have already ventured into these markets by selling vegetables, fruits, basic grains, and eggs.
