I was born on April 1958 in Lisbon, Portugal. I grew up with the wide and inspiring horizons of the Azores. To attend the university, I went to O’Porto, where I have lived since then. I started working early, in an extraordinary institution called “Cooperativa Arvore,” that brings together many of the Por tuguese plastic artists. For years, I lived and worked daily with people who were important references in Contemporary Portuguese Ar t. My time there, was an extraordinary and excellent way of learning about life and observation of my surroundings. Painting, drawing, architecture, sculpture, photography, cinema were part of my early daily life. For various circumstances, I approached Graphic Design. Connected with two friends designers, I made the monitoring of many works from the start to the final Offset print. I learned a lot about colours and printing processes with the printers who, with great patience and accuracy, adjusted to my taste, the colour shades on the huge offset machines. I am not a Graphic Designer, I am not a Photographer, but my personal history allowed me to wake up to what I do now, to my way of seeing, photographing and editing my images. I discovered in Photography my personal form of artistic expression. This discovery, has only a few years and after that, I realised that I liked light and its effects, the Architecture and its geometric forms and angles and also that I like to create graphic compositions with some degree of precision between this elements. I like my little friend Lumix camera, that always accompanies me.I like the images she gives me. I also discovered how fun it is to edit these images.
