- editor’s message Hi key club! I hope you have had amazing summers so far. I had to rush this newsletter a little bit, as I was out of town for most of this month, but I am glad I was able to do it. I can’t wait for more volunteering opportunities later in the coming months and I can’t wait to get closer to the board! Also, make sure to check out the division newsletter on page 6 to get to know our new LTG! -andrew!

president’s message Happy summer keyuties! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and having a lot of fun. I can't wait for us to begin our service events of the summer such as miracle league or collaboration with our Phoenix Team! I hope everyone is as excited for the upcoming year of key club as I am. This year will be amazing not only because we can expect more in-person events but also the growth of our club due to the amazing work of this year's board! This can already be seen as we won Club of June, so congrats! Again, thank you to everyone that is a part of the key club and can't wait to see you all!! -azja :)

how did otc help you? Azja Lee(12) - Otc helped me as an officer as I was able to get clarification on exactly all my responsibilities as well as learn that there are many resources that can be used. It also allowed me to meet fellow presidents that I can reach out to for help or even bond with and collaborate in future events.

Ella Graham(10) - OTC helped prepare me for my position by providing a basis of important tasks that are my responsibility as Vice President of Membership. I was also instructed on what kinds of forms we need to fill out in order to do certain events, which is very important to know so I'm glad it was thoroughly taught.

A BIG THANKS TO OUR LTGS FOR A GREAT OTC!!! 4

mini carnival

A-Tech hosted a mini carnival for students from both A-Tech and Veterans High School with special education needs. Several clubs volunteered with booths such as face paint, skee-ball, board games, and outdoor activities. Our key club crew operated the jumbo cup pong and jumbo jenga stations, where students were able to get candy afterwards for a prize! It was a fun experience and we hope to do it again next year.

what was your experience like at the carnival? Ella Graham(10) - The mini carnival we had was a super fun experience that I'm very glad we could be a part of. Seeing how much the people attending enjoyed the carnival really made my day and I hope to participate in more events like this in the future.

Mahealani Kerr(12) - The carnival that we participated in was really fun. Even though it wasn't as big as the one we do with the other clubs, it was enjoyable to do. Azja Lee(12) - The mini carnival was such a wonderful experience where I was able to enjoy spending time and bond with the board. As well as enjoy the company of the fellow students who enjoyed our booth playing giant cup pong and jenga.

Andrew Birt(12) - The mini carnival was so fun. It brought me lots of joy to see the looks on the faces of the students participating when they won a prize or made a shot. I was so glad I was able to help and I very much enjoyed volunteering for it. I hope we have more chances to serve these students again next year.
