J. K. Rowling Rowling is a renowned writer of novels for children. It is globally known for his work Harry Potter, work which has broken all records books worldwide sales and turned to the writer in women’s richest in the world. Born on 31 July 1965 in Yacht, England, his sister Dianne was born at home on 28 June 1967 when Rowling was 23 months of age. The family moved to the nearby Winterbourne town when Rowling was four years old. Attended the primary school St Michael ' s.
