From MrA2BC
First and foremost, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our dedicated followers for their unwavering support. Your enthusiasm drives us to continuously explore new and unique concepts with each issue of A2BC Magazine. If you've followed our journey through the first two volumes, you'll notice our commitment to delivering diverse and compelling content remains steadfast.
Volume 3 is no exception—it's distinct yet familiar in its approach. This edition introduces a nostalgic twist by utilizing three Kodak disposable cameras, evoking the charm of analog photography. We wanted to remind everyone of the joy and anticipation that comes with film photography, from the moment you capture a shot to the excitement of developing the film to see how your pictures turned out.
This issue also takes a deeply personal turn, highlighting the essence of individuality with our cover title, "A2BEING." We delve into the stories of those featured, offering a glimpse into what makes them unique. These interviews are pivotal as they reflect our core philosophy—A2BC stands for Addicted to Being Cool/Celf. We strive to showcase genuine people and their creations, celebrating authenticity in every form.
We hope this edition inspires you to embrace the thrill of film photography and the beauty of being unapologetically yourself. Thank you for being part of our journey, and we look forward to continuing this creative exploration with you. FOUNDER &

Behind the Scenes
Before we sat down for this interview, we had an incredible photoshoot session with Makwil. We initially planned to feature his interview and some stunning disposable camera shots in this issue. Unfortunately, the photos didn't turn out as expected, which led us to explore a different approach for this edition. Nonetheless, the interview remains a testament to Makwil's authenticity and creative spirit.
Artist Spotlight: Makwil
WHY MUSIC AND WHY HIP HOP/RAP SPECIFICALLY?
I won’t lie, in the beginning, I had no clear-cut reason for making music I was just a good writer in primary school, the class poet and drama student. Music came into the picture about five years later when I was in high school. Once I got into it, I realized that writing and making music was an outlet for me. My writing style is very introspective and reflective, speaking on topics I've experienced, witnessed, or fear experiencing While my musical range isn't strictly hip-hop/rap, it is the primary genre, influenced by the likes of Nasty C, Emtee, and AReece during the era I started recording music in 2016. As I've grown, so has my musical range.
What’s the new project called and where can we find it?
“ZOMBIEZ”
The new project is called “ZOMBIEZ.” It was released on July 6, 2024, and can be found on all streaming platforms. It’s a three-track single, produced by J’$UPREME and mixed and mastered by Master Jay. It’s a very exciting and emotional listen, and the pen stays sharp.
It's a nonliar journey
CAN YOU DESCRIBE A TIME WHEN YOU FACED A MAJOR CHALLENGE AND HOW YOU OVERCAME IT?
The biggest challenge I've faced, and am still facing, is the passing of my mother last December. There's no challenge more difficult than that, at least not yet. It's a nonlinear journey, and I'm learning every day
ARE YOU MAKING MUSIC JUST AS A CREATIVE RELIEF, OR DO YOU THINK YOU HAVE A MESSAGE THAT IS DIRECTED TO CERTAIN PEOPLE?
I'd confidently say it's both for creative relief and to send a message Creating music stimulates my creativity and serves as a form of therapy because it involves reflection and introspection When others listen to my music, they might hear about experiences they've gone through, are going through, or might go through. I write from a genuine place, discussing experiences that everyone can relate to, which sends a message about our shared human experiences

HOW DO YOU STAY TRUE TO YOURSELF
AMIDST THE PRESSURES OF MODERN
SOCIETY?
Staying true to myself means being unapologetically unique. Even if it feels unconventional, I find joy in pursuing interests that aren't mainstream. It’s about being real, even when it might seem a bit out of the ordinary to others.
“CREATING YOUR OWN NARRATIVE”
HOW IMPORTANT DO YOU THINK IT IS TO BE YOURSELF?
Being yourself is crucial. It’s about embracing who you are when you’re alone and letting that person shine through in every aspect of your life. Authenticity brings a unique flavor to life that can’t be replicated by simply following the crowd.
IN YOUR VIEW, WHAT IS THE ULTIMATE PURPOSE OF LIFE?
The ultimate purpose of life is what you make of it. It's not about predefined meanings but about creating your own narrative If you work towards something that feels significant to you, that’s what gives life its meaning
WHAT DOES SPIRITUALITY MEAN TO YOU, AND HOW DOES IT INFLUENCE YOUR DAILY LIFE?
Spirituality for me isn't about religious doctrines but about finding a personal sense of purpose and connection. It influences my life by guiding me to live authentically and meaningfully, focusing on what truly matters to me and those around me.
These were some of the pictures that were meant to be taken with the kodak. But due to amateur mistakes, we had use the pics taken with a Canon

OUR JOURNEY WITH DISPOSABLE KODAK CAMERAS: A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW
As we embarked on a hands-on exploration of Kodak disposable cameras, we approached it with an open mind and a commitment to providing an honest, unbiased review. Without any paid partnerships or external influences, our goal was to assess these cameras purely on their merits. Here’s a detailed account of our experience, covering both the highlights and the pitfalls.
First Impressions
When we first unwrapped our Kodak disposable cameras, they immediately impressed with their simplicity As a point-and-shoot, the Kodak is incredibly userfriendly The winding process of the film, with its satisfying click, enhances the tactile pleasure of shooting. Whether you ' re in the studio, roaming the streets, or hitting the club, these cameras are ready to capture it all.
This was taken on Long Street, Cape Town.
Capturing Moments
From vibrant studio shots to spontaneous street scenes and energetic club photos, the Kodak disposable performed admirably across various settings. The compact design and straightforward operation make it a reliable choice for those spontaneous memory-making moments.
THE FLIP SIDE
However, it's not all sunshine and rainbows One significant drawback we encountered was the uncertainty of the final product With disposables, you can't preview your shots, leading to some unpleasant surprises Our first batch of photos revealed that a few frames were marred by errant fingers and overexposure Indoor shots without flash often turned out grainy and unusable
By the way we were not going to add the bad pictures
