NEXT PHASE OF ‘JAX FUTURE FIT’ ROLLING OUT

The renewable energy initiative is now seeing EV charging stations roll out The next phase of JAX Tyres and Auto’s ‘JAX Future Fit’ program is powering up, with the upcoming rollout of electric vehicle charging stations to be included with new store openings in Craigieburn, Merrylands, as well as at JAX’s existing store in Caulfield.

Following the announcement earlier this year of the goal to upgrade 70 percent of the JAX network with solar panels through a partnership with RACV Solar, EV charging stations from EVUp will now be made available for free to all franchisees capitalising on the solar rollout in support of a more sustainable future.

Franchisees whose stores are equipped with both solar panels and EV charging capabilities will be able to benefit from cost savings over time, while JAX customers will be able to take advantage of free electric vehicle charging.

New EV charging stations at Craigieburn, Merrylands and Caulfield will add to those already available state-wide across mainland Australia with Gilles Plains (SA), Woolloongabba (QLD), Bowen Hills (QLD) Warrawong (NSW), Kwinana (WA), Edwardstown (SA), and Clyde North (VIC).

“JAX stores are able to combine the environmental and cost saving benefits of solar energy and EV charging capabilities will be setting themselves, and their customers, up for a greener and more energy efficient standard of service for the foreseeable future,” JAX Tyres and Auto Chief Executive Officer, Steve Grossrieder, said.

“As JAX’s EV charge network grows, so will our desire to implement an end-to-end solution for the entire network, including installation of chargers, ongoing repair and maintenance, and ultimately a platform for monitoring usage and communications with users. It was with these imperatives in mind that EVUp emerged as the clear choice of partner for the Future Fit program.’
