COUPLING WARNING
SGF says you should be wary of unspecified replacement driveshaft flexible couplings
Flexible Couplings are considered an extremely sensitive and key component in a vehicle’s drivetrain. SGF says original couplings are vehicle specific and are tuned and balanced to reduce or eliminate the vibration and disturbing harmonic frequencies generated at different RPMs, and of course to withstand the maximum torque generated by the engine.
SGF says you should beware of copy couplings that can cause vibration and noise issues and, in most cases, early failure. Generally, it says many other low-quality couplings in the market take a convenient ‘one coupling fits many applications’ approach that is prone with potential NVH problems. SGF says its couplings are OE and supplied to many OEMs around the world. It states each coupling is specifically engineered and NVH tuned for a particular vehicle model. SGF is a German company specialising in torque transmission and anti-vibration solutions. Unlike many copy couplings available, SGF says it utilises its trademark Tenpu fibre technology: a combination of cord inlays vulcanised within select rubber compounds that operate in tension rather than pressure or shear load. It says the Tempo fibre reinforcement fibres transmit the majority of the torque whilst the design enables the tuning of the coupling for the specific reduction of each vehicle’s NVH characteristics, resulting in optimal damping and the elimination or reduction of noise and vibration, improved tolerance to shock loads and compensation of radial, axial and angular misalignments. Its couplings also have a highpower density ratio. For more information, contact sales@sgfasiapac.com
NEW FROM PENRITE
The company has been Australian owned and operated for 95 years
Penrite has just released its new Diesel Winter Fuel Treatment additive. The product is said to be ideal for use in alpine areas or in locations where temperatures are expected to fall below zero degrees and where winter fuel is not available. Diesel fuel can form wax crystals at very low temperatures. This can block injectors and prevent fuel from reaching the cylinder. The new Penrite Diesel Winter Fuel Treatment is a single dose product. It is designed to be added to the fuel, where it works by lowering the CFPP (Cold Filter Plugging Point) of the diesel fuel so that wax formation is below the bulk temperature of the fuel. This is important in alpine areas where the risk of wax formation is greatest. In off-road applications such as agriculture, the product may be used in storage tanks and in equipment in the case of an unexpected cold snap occurring before Alpine Fuel is available. Diesel Winter Fuel Treatment is also ideal for use prior to snow and skiing trips, 4WD and off-roading in high mountain regions, diesel fuel supplies stored in subzero degree temperatures, and in farm, agricultural and mining equipment which is used in colder climates. One 375ml bottle treats up to 100 Litres of diesel fuel. To find out more about Penrite and its Australian Made products, visit www.penriteoil.com.au

EVENTURI RELEASE CARBON INTAKE
For the GR Yaris
The Queen’s Enterprise Award winning company has launched its signature Carbon Fibre Intake for the new Toyota GR Yaris and is coming to Australia through Scuderia Autoart. An icon was born with the new GR Yaris and now Eventuri has developed a unique carbon fibre intake system for the new rally homologation model from Toyota. Launched globally, the carbon fibre intake is now available in Australia through Scuderia Autoart, the official importer and distributor of bespoke performance brands from around the world. From passion for cars and performance, Eventuri was founded by a team of engineers and enthusiasts with a background in Aeronautics and says it has established itself as a global benchmark in its segment. Transferring its technology and expertise, Eventuri has specially designed and engineered each component of the intake to provide the turbo with a smooth and free flowing path. With glossy and matte carbon finish variants, the GR Yaris intake has been developed through extensive data logging of temperatures, flow rates and dyno testing. Since the all-wheel-drive sports car comes with a turbocharged engine, heat and volume were the main considerations during development and has been designed to offer the highest possible flow rate whilst maintaining the lowest intake temperatures possible. By ensuring a sealed system, Eventuri says it has improved on the Intake Air Temperatures of the OEM airbox whilst increasing the internal volume to reduce the pressure drop, and therefore reduced pumping losses of the turbo, allowing it to operate more efficiently and reach peak boost sooner to increase performance. Going into the numbers, the intake reportedly achieves a performance increase of 11.2kW and 24Nm that has been tested by various reputable tuners globally who have all reported similar results. These results show an increase in torque and power across the entire RPM range, not just at the peak RPM, explaining why the car feels more responsive and is able to accelerate faster through the gears. The GR Yaris intake system uses the Eventuri Patented Carbon fibre Housing, which provides an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbo. Due to its unique design, the intake invokes the Venturi effect and maintains laminar flow conditions to reduce the drag on the turbo. After high demand for performance parts for the new GR Yaris, the first deliveries will arrive at the end of June 2021 through Scuderia Autoart and its nationwide dealer network. TGC NITRILE GLOVES
From The Glove Company
Dion Hoy, the owner of Advanced Mechanical Services, recently reviewed The Glove Company’s TGC Nitrile Gloves. “TGC Black Gloves are the best I have used. My team and I use them daily. I find we work a lot faster and efficiently when wearing them, we can put them through their paces and know they won’t break or interrupt our workflow,” Dion said. “They really are ‘The World’s Toughest Gloves’; they are stretchy, grippy, and best of all, they do not sweat as much as other gloves thanks to the Low Sweat Comfort Technology. “For years I struggled to find a good glove for my team. None of the other gloves we tried held up, so we would just use our bare hands. “I came across The Glove Company at the 2017 Australian Automotive Aftermarket trade expo. The team there took the time to chat with me and explain the difference between their TGC Black gloves versus generic gloves. “I was sceptical, but they assured me the TGC Gloves were custom engineered specifically for the Automotive Industry. Their CEO spent his youth working in the Automotive industry before becoming a chemical engineer. He realised there was no glove that could withstand the work we do. So, he created one. “They offered my team and I sample packs, they claim you have to try them for yourself to see, and then you’ll never go back. A couple days later the team and I grabbed them out and put them to the test, and wow they really were tough. “The Low Sweat Comfort Technology worked, you can feel the difference compared to other gloves. I can easily wear one pair per car service and not worry about them tearing or being punctured. They hold up to brake cleaner, oils, turpentines, fuel. “I’ve never used a pair of gloves so strong or with such an excellent grip. The whole glove is textured with a special micro texture. I grab spanners, filters, greasy hoses and not have them slip from my hand. “Just recently I tried the TGC Orange gloves, which are the exact same glove but hi-vis orange for something different. They didn’t disappoint either. I think the team prefer them in summer as being orange, they found them cooler to wear outside as they don’t absorb the heat as much. “I find the TGC Orange are great for preventing cross-contamination too, as you can easily see what is on your hands. Now we always keep a couple of cases of both TGC Black Nitrile Gloves and the TGC Orange Nitrile Gloves in the workshop. I can’t imagine working without them.” For more information, visit www.theglovecompany.com

NEXT-GEN BATTERY MASTER ISOLATION SWITCH
Available now from REDARC
In late 2020 REDARC released its next generation Battery Master Isolation Switch that fulfils the requirements of the new Australian Dangerous Goods Standard. Since its launch in 2016, REDARC says the proudly Australian Made BMIS (Battery Master Isolation Switch) has been trusted by OEs like Kenworth to safely isolate vehicle batteries when required and ensure a reliable performance while the vehicle is operating. During the development of the BMIS, it underwent extensive independent testing and validation including rugged field trials to ensure the unit could be fitted as OE equipment. REDARC says this is a prime example of collaboration and cooperation with an OEM to ensure a world best product outcome. Soon after the release of the new Australian Dangerous Goods Standard AS2809:2020, REDARC was proud to release the next generation BMIS (V2), fulfilling the requirement for a Master Isolation Switch under that standard. The new Australian standard is referred to within the Australian Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road and Rail (ADG Code) which sets out the requirements for transporting dangerous goods by road or rail. The Heavy Vehicle Industry Association affirms that compliance to the Australian standard is required to make road tank vehicles conformant to the legislated standards. Owners and operators of Road Tank vehicles rely upon the manufacturers of safety components like REDARC to assure compliance and reliable safety. REDARC Managing Director, Anthony Kittel, explained isolation switches are assessed as part of the full vehicle safety system under these standards, and this is why REDARC ensured the BMIS meets the criteria and enables the vehicles to operate safely in those conditions. “We have been working for over 30 years (since 1989) with the truck original equipment manufacturers, supplying products they can rely upon. We continue to work closely with our customers to provide products that meet their needs as well as industry standards,” Anthony said. “The upgraded compliance of the BMIS is another example of how our design engineers strive to set the industry benchmark for innovation in electronic vehicle technology.” The BMIS V2 is now available in Australia to comply with AS2809:2020 and in New Zealand where vehicles are required to meet the DG Tank wagons requirements. Two BMIS models are available: the 4PN (positive, negative isolation - part number BMIS4PNV2KIT) and the 4PP (positive, positive isolation - part number BMIS4PPV2KIT). There are also supporting accessories in the BMIS-AP Adaptor plate and BMIS-CK connector kit. Designed and tested to meet stringent industry standards, REDARC says the BMIS reassuringly exceeds the requirements of large diesel engines in 12V and 24V systems and features an ISO 26262 rated dual redundancy system to avoid false triggering that can cause unnecessary electric shutdowns. The BMIS is easy to install from new or as a retrofit. The BMIS-AP Adaptor Plate reportedly makes retrofit installation as simple as possible. For new installations, REDARC recommends the BMIS-CK Connector Kit used on vehicles where a factory harness is not available. Key features:
• Meets requirements of the AS2809:2020
Dangerous Goods Standard • Durable, UV resistant housing which is resistant to rocks and fluids • Dual redundancy feature to avoid false triggering • Continuous self-checking function with an inbuilt LED diagnosis tool • Lockable in the off position for improved safety and theft prevention • Easy to install from new or as a retrofit • Compatible with existing roll-over sensors • Reviewed by independent safety experts REDARC says you can pair the BMIS with a roll over sensor for an enhanced safety solution, explaining that the BMIS can be complemented by REDARC’s Roll Over Sensor (ROS - part number ROS1224.) The ROS enables trucks to meet roll-over sensing requirements by signalling the isolation switch to disconnect power to the truck system in the event of a truck rollover while the BMIS is designed to safely isolate the vehicle batteries. CARBON NEUTRAL LUBRICANTS
Driving sustainability
Shell has a target to become a net-zero carbon emissions energy business by 2050 or sooner. As the biggest supplier of lubricants in the world, Shell Lubricants says it has a large part to play in delivering this1 . The delivery of carbon neutral lubricants takes Shell one small step closer to reaching this goal. Shell says these lubricants help keep the world moving by ensuring machinery can operate consistently and efficiently at the peak of its performance. But behind this performance, there is an ongoing need to balance increased operational output with reduced environmental impact; and as demands evolve, expectations change too. Customers and consumers expect brands to offer solutions that make it easier for them to make sustainable choices. For motorists, it is important to improve the fuel efficiency of road transport in the future and therefore have the lowest impact on the climate. Shell says advanced engine oils such as its Shell Helix Ultra Carbon Neutral offer the same great performance and reliability customers have come to expect and meet the highest American Petroleum Institute’s SP engine oil standards – and is now available with the added benefit of being carbon neutral2 . As well as helping avoid or reduce emissions through material choices and operational efficiencies, Shell says the lubricants are now carbon neutral thanks to carbon offsetting through Shell’s global portfolio of nature-based carbon credits. Shell aims to offset the annual emissions of more than 200 million liters of advanced synthetic lubricants, expecting to compensate around 700,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) emissions per year, which is equivalent to taking approximately 340,000 cars off the road for one year (Shell notes that actual emissions from driving are sensitive to underlying assumptions). This represents a key milestone in Shell Lubricants’ multi-year strategy to help customers manage their sustainability needs and its ambition to reduce the carbon intensity of its products by avoiding, reducing, and offsetting emissions. Since 2016, Shell says it has reduced the carbon intensity of its lubricants manufacturing by over 30 percent, and over 50 percent of electricity used in its lubricant blending plants now comes from renewable sources. For more information, visit www.shell.com
1 Kline & Co [https://www.shell.com/business-customers/ lubricants-for-business/news-and-media-releases/2019/shell-retainsleadership-of-global-lubricants-market-for-thirteen-consecutive-year.html 2 “Carbon neutral” indicates that Shell has engaged in a transaction where an amount of CO¬2 equivalent to the CO2e amount associated with the raw material extraction, transport, production, distribution, usage and end-of-life of the Lubricants has been avoided as emissions through the protection of natural ecosystems or removed from the atmosphere through a nature-based process.
CELEBRATING 100 YEARS OF RISLONE
Rislone Super Concentrated Fuel Injector Cleaner Twin Pack released
For its Centenary, Rislone has released a special twin pack of its ever-popular Super Concentrated Fuel Injector Cleaner. Rislone says its Super Concentrated Fuel Injector Cleaner with Upper Cylinder Lubricant is the best all-around fuel additive to use with every tank of fuel. According to Rislone, the complete fuel system tune-up helps eliminate noisy injectors and fuel pumps, rough idle, hard starting and hesitation. High performance additives maximise power, performance and kilometres while helping to save petrol by cleaning and lubricating fuel injectors, it says. Rislone adds that regular use in both summer and winter maintains optimum engine efficiency and power; smooths rough idle and eliminates hard starts for cleaner, quieter operation. It also claims the product cleans fuel injectors, increases kilometers and saves on high fuel costs at the pump. The company explains that Upper Cylinder Lubricant helps prevent cylinder, ring and piston wear along with lubricating valves and guides giving longer engine life. The Fuel Conditioner and Treatment protects and lubricates all parts of the fuel system including the fuel pump and injectors allowing more power and performance, it adds. It can be used with all petrol, ethanol E10 E85 and diesel fuels and also all fuel injected, turbo, direct injected and carbureted engines. The EZ Nozzle applicator works in all vehicles including those with capless fuel tanks. Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner is compatible with Rislone Diesel Treatment and Rislone Octane Booster. One bottle is concentrated to treat up to 76 litres of petrol or diesel fuel. It is safe to use on vehicles with oxygen sensors, catalytic converters and particulate filters and it will not void a manufacturer’s new vehicle warranty. The unique formulation allows it to work in both petrol and diesel fuel engines. For diesel applications this fuel additive complies with the federal low sulfur content requirements for use in diesel fuel motor vehicles and non-road engines. The Rislone Upper Cylinder Lubricant (UCL) additive is specially designed to lubricate the upper cylinder of an engine; however, this action starts in the fuel tank. In the fuel tank, UCL helps prevent rust and corrosion and this process continues into the fuel lines. UCL also lubricates and protects the fuel pump, giving it a longer life and quieter operation. The next step for the UCL formula is to lubricate the injectors, allowing them to work more efficiently. Not only are cylinder deposits cleaned, including gum and varnish, but as the UCL treats the upper cylinder the lubricating film helps to prevent carbon from sticking so that it can be burned. This film completely lubricates the upper piston, rings, guides, valves, and seats. For more product or stockist information, freecall 1800 883 888 or visit www.smitsgroup.com.au

TRW ELECTRIC PARK BRAKE PORTFOLIO EXPANDED
New actuator repair kit added
The TRW Electric Park Brake (EPB) has become standard equipment in many vehicle classes in recent years, causing an increase in aftermarket demand with many vehicle owners looking for an alternative to the complete replacement of the EPB brake caliper. ZF Aftermarket says its TRW brand now meets this need with its new actuator repair kit. Like many other comfort features, the EPB was first established in the upper vehicle classes but is increasingly now being used in volume models. Advantages of the EPB include increased driver comfort, more freedom for the car’s interior designers, and allowing the possibility of new driver assistance functions. Although the EPB variations with actuator integrated into the brake caliper are considered very reliable and durable, damage can still occur – as with any technical system. Workshops are able to make use of ZF Aftermarket’s extensive product range for repairs. Under the TRW brand, ZF says its Aftermarket organisation offers spare parts for virtually all brake repair cases, and a new service-oriented product has now been added to the EPB portfolio. Until now, workshops have had to replace the entire EPB brake caliper, even if only the actuator was defective. The electric actuator can fail even if the mechanical part of the brake caliper is still intact, more often after a long period of the vehicle standing idle – when the brake pads can detach from the disc and thus overload the engine. ZF Aftermarket says this is why it now offers the new actuator repair kit as a low-cost and resourcesaving alternative to complete replacement. The kit consists of the electric actuator, two fastening screws and an O-ring, with which the EPB can be repaired in a short time and at low cost for the customer. The actuator repair kits will soon be launched for the following models: Audi A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, TT, Q3, Q7, Q8; BMW 5 series, X3, Z4; Jaguar F-Type Convertible; Seat Ateca, Leon, Alhambra; Skoda Karoq, Kodiaq, Superb; and Volkswagen Golf VII, Passat, CC, Arteon, Tiguan, Touareg. ZF Aftermarket also has plans of extending its range
INTRODUCING RHINOHIDE ARMOR
In 2016 Australia saw the release of an innovative new idea for 4WD enthusiasts: Rhinohide. When Rhinohide was launched, it offered a robust 4WD paint protection system that allowed users to venture down the tightest of tracks and explore the most challenging conditions before emerging with their paintwork unscathed. The Rhinohide product got national coverage with its debut on Australia’s Shark Tank and piqued the interest of not one, but three of the ‘sharks,’ resulting in Rhinohide Founder, Marc Berryman, taking investment from Dr Glen Richards and Andrew Banks. The small Australian company’s initial concept used magnets to hold the custom moulded high impact ABS panels to the vehicle. The magnetic system, whilst capable, did have some limitations – in particular, it could not be used on the highway and also required routine maintenance and cleaning. Because of this, in 2020 under the restraint of the COVID-19 lockdown, the Rhinohide product development team went back to the drawing board to overcome these issues. The team spent almost 12 months undertaking extensive research and development to redesign the system from the ground up. “The new Rhinohide product is the clear leader in removable 4WD protection systems and the only available system that is rated for Highway (speeds of up to 130km/hr) as well as off-road use,” Rhinohide Founder, Marc Berryman, said. “It is also the only system which allows paintwork to breathe and avoid chaffing from the system itself thanks to a unique air gap between the panel and the paint surface. “The panels are the clear class leader in attachment technology, with their new Armor-Lock Attachment providing impact absorption through a patent pending ‘shock absorber’ built into the mechanism. of complete TRW EPB brake calipers. New to the range will be versions for the following models: Audi A4, A5, A6, A7, A8 as well as Q3, Q5, Q7, Q8 and R8; and BMW 8 Series Coupé/Gran Coupé/ Convertible. The brake calipers will be available in the same colours as used in the original equipment (OE), including black, red, grey and ultramarine. Some vehicle manufacturers use an attractive colour design not only for the EPB, but also for the caliper of the service brake. Therefore, ZF Aftermarket also offers a wide range of coloured brake calipers which can be fitted to many models from the Volkswagen Group, as well as cars from Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Peugeot and Land Rover. The product range also includes spare parts for luxury cars and sports cars. High-performance and high-quality brake calipers in the OE colour are available under the TRW brand for sports cars such as the Lamborghini Gallardo and the MercedesBenz SLC, and also for powerful SUVs such as the Range Rover Sport and for top sports models such as the Audi S6 or BMW M8. For more information, visit www.zf.com/au
“The system is also the only detachable panel protection system to have a security fastener with tamper-proof key to give peace of mind against it being stolen when parked in carparks, something no other magnet system can compete with. “It really is the world’s toughest panel protection system.” To learn more about the Rhinohide Armor system, please see page 16 of the AAAA’s annual 4WD special, or visit www.rhinohide.com.au
OPTIBELT DELTA CHAIN CARBON TIMING BELT
Driving high performance vehicles forward
High torque applications such as superchargers on drag cars and high-performance motorcycle drives demand a high-performance product which is where Optibelt says its Optibelt Delta Chain Carbon timing belt excels. The Optibelt Delta Chain timing belt can reportedly provide 100 percent power transmission compared to high performance rubber timing belts. The polyurethane construction combined with the carbon fibre cords of the Optibelt Delta Chain Carbon delivers a product that is resistant to contamination by water, a wide range of chemicals, oils and fluids. At the same time, the wear resistant red bonded fabric increases the sheer strength of the teeth meaning that constant and fast acceleration is possible, making the Optibelt Delta Chain Carbon the perfect partner in style and high-end performance, says Optibelt. Driving development for Australia’s first designed and built performance electric motorcycles
Savic Motorcycles says it is the first in Australia to design and build high performance electric motorcycles. These exceptional motorcycles required an exceptional drive and for this Savic says it called on the engineering expertise of international leading drive belt manufacturer Optibelt, who specified the Optibelt Delta Chain Carbon timing belt for this application. Compared with a roller chain drive, Optibelt Delta Chain carbon timing belts are cleaner, lighted, smoother and quieter and require no adjustments resulting in less maintenance and a longer life cycle. All these qualities were essential when designing a drive system for these highperformance motorcycles. The man behind the Savic Motorcycles is 28-year-old engineer, Dennis Savic, who together with a rapidly growing team, has developed three different specifications of their electric motorcycles, the C-Series. This follows the launch of their concept prototype at the 2018 Australian Motorcycle Expo, their second-generation prototype in November 2019 and the production prototype in 2020. The motorcycle prototypes are all direct drive to the rear wheel where the in-house designed rear wheel pulley has three spokes which line up perfectly with the spokes of the rear rim, which is also designed and developed by Savic and his team. The belt width running on the motorcycles is 36mm which is the widest belt in the EV market according to Savic principal, Dennis Savic. The range offered now comprises three models being the Alpha fitted with an 11kWh battery for a 200 km range; the Delta with a 9kWh battery offering a range of 150km; and the commutefocused Omega with a modest range of 120km. All are reputedly competitively priced, starting from approximately $12,990 AUD. With the prototypes now virtually complete, compliance testing underway and the first production run of 50 motorcycles all pre-ordered, the team expect to commence production by mid2022. NEW EUCA 15L BAG IN A BOX RANGE
No more hard to recycle or dispose of plastic drums
The team at Euca has re-introduced its whole liquid cleaning product range, now available in its new eco packaging that it says will eliminate unwanted land fill and solve the recycling problem encountered with the current use of bulk 10lt and 20lt Plastic drums. Euca’s desire is to change how you buy and handle bulk liquids, and currently on offer is the ability to trial its unique “Bag in a cardboard Box” 15lt Containers. Euca says that although the existing plastic drums are designated “recycle #2, being a good recycle plastic, the issue has always been in councils accepting these drums and then the recycling companies actually recycling them due to not knowing what chemicals had been stored in them.” The recycling of a drum has required washing the drum three times, removing the cap, tap and any other accessories and removing the label. It says that obviously, this ends up becoming too hard for many and so most of the drums have been going to landfill. The new Euca Eco Box is Designed to help our precious ecological system via a huge reduction in the use of plastic, less transportation fuel use, minimal water cleaning required and a decline in landfill use. Key features:
• Easy to use, set up and pour straight from the box; • Can be used to refill any other container; • Box made from 30 percent recycled cardboard material; • The cardboard is again recyclable; • Plastic bladder is recycle #4 LDPE – it just requires a quick rinse and drop off at any supermarket soft plastic REDcycle bin; • 70 percent less plastic used to make the bladder compared to a plastic drum; • Lessening of landfill plastic due to ease of recycle compared to Plastic Drums; • Reduction in freight / oil use / pollution as 7000 bladder bags fit on one pallet in transit where 7000 plastic drums takes seven semi-trailers to move; • No need to wash drums, allowing for massive precious water savings; and • No need to transport drums on mass back to recycle, allowing for more pollution savings. Euca – part of Proud Products – says it has a comprehensive range of premium quality products that covers all aspects of sanitation and cleaning at extremely effective costs based on use. NEW DBA STREET SERIES BRAKE PADS
Launched only two months ago, these new brake pads are already exceeding expectations
Disc Brakes Australia (DBA) says the uptake of its new DBA Street Series brake pads range two months on from its local launch into the Australian market has been nothing short of impressive. This all-new product line of Street Series brake pads from DBA is aimed at the OE replacement market and was launched nationally in April. The company says the program has already exceeded its expectations. “After only two months it is fair to say that our new product is being well received by the trade and fitters alike,” DBA Marketing Manager, Lars Mehlan, said. “Product availability in the market is strong with a large network of brake specialists committed to the program, and we are also about to launch some major trade initiatives.” Lars says the initial success is testament to the hard work that has gone into developing the program. “The whole team has done a fantastic job. We have put our decades of braking development experience into this product, and we now have a pad that matches our long-established Street Series rotor range in terms of market coverage, product quality and performance,” Lars said. A number of technical features around the pad design and friction composition have been employed to create a brake pad that according to DBA consistently performs at OE level, if not better. Depending on the exact specifications of the application, DBA offers either a ceramic or semimetallic formulation for the best result. All friction material undergoes thermal stability profiling (TSP), which in conjunction with the titanium dioxide-infused bed-in stripe leads to the shortest bed-in times and optimal braking performance. The friction material used is copperfree for low dust emission in accordance with NSFI regulations. The brake pads feature chamfers to reduce brake harshness and facilitate drive comfort, slots for improved thermal stability, and application-specific multi layered elastomeric coated shims for reduced braking noise. Each set of Street Series brake pads is supplied with high temperature lubricant, detailed bedding-in instructions, and sensors and other hardware where applicable, ensuring installation times are kept to a minimum. DBA has introduced an impressive 750 different SKUs as part of its initial launch program, claiming a market-leading 95 percent-plus coverage for every application. The parts are catalogued in DBA’s online database accessible via their website. Each part number also comes with a comprehensive listing of corresponding brake rotors as well as alternative DBA performance brake pads. The all-new range is being distributed via DBA’s seven distribution centers around Australia and New Zealand for immediate availability. NEW CAR STACKER
STENHØJ Australia has widened its product range
Molnar Car Stackers are now available for the automotive sector. With many automotive sites growing in popularity, STENHØJ Australia says clients have been coming to it asking for solutions to be able to retain their same inner-city location whilst expanding their car parking facilities. It says vehicles are often being stored longer at workshops and need to be stored safely without causing overcrowding. It says the solution is its new Molnar Car Stackers, which help create efficiency and profitability while being easy to use. The stackers are said to allow workshops and dealerships to increase returns by maximising useable space, and to create extra work bays for extra cash flow and greater efficiency and significantly increased profitability. Two different models are currently available: the Molnar Laser 4.3CP (three car stacker) and the Molnar Laser 2.2CP (two car stacker). STENHØJ Australia says it has been calculated that if a work bay can generate $1,000 per day, this equates to $250,000 extra cashflow per year, resulting in $1,000,000 extra cash flow over a four-year period. By introducing Molnar Car Stackers, workshops and dealerships can increase the number of work bays on their site, thus improving efficiency while avoiding the cost involved to relocate to larger premises, or outside of their current locality. The new Molnar Parking System serves as dependent parking, above-ground parking, without requiring a pit. “Lower space has to be free to allow access for Customer support
The TRITON-D10 comes standard with Snap-on Customer Care, plus 24/7 online training and support, industry-focused national online training, flexible financing and exclusive access to the Snap-on Cloud. For more information, talk to a participating Franchisee or other sales representative, or visit www.diagnostics.snapon.com
parking on the lifting platform,” Molnar Parking Business Development Manager, Kevin Dawes said. Kevin says he has recently received feedback following an install of a new car stacker in a South Australian dealership that the business’ customers are extremely impressed with the Molnar Car Stackers and the impression of having created a very modern workshop. Molnar car stackers carry the same values as Molnar hoists: ISO9001 certified production, three years warranty, national installation/service network and strong after sales support.
