AUTO ONE STORE AND SUPPLIER AWARDS PRESENTED
The awards were presented in late April via a Zoom teleconference, which was well attended by stores
The impact of COVID 19 has affected many parts of the automotive industry, and for national reseller Auto One, a significant casualty was the group’s inability to host a National Conference in 2020. A crucial element of the Auto One Conference is the annual Store and Supplier awards, which has traditionally been held at the Gala dinner at the conclusion of the Conference. Despite the conference not proceeding last year, the group has continued to acknowledge the high performers in the group throughout a challenging year in 2020, even without the formality of the dinner. The awards were handed out as follows. National Supplier of the Year is voted on by all Auto One and A1 Autoparts members. For 2020, the award was won by Wesfil, who continue to provide market leading service to the group. The award was accepted by Wesfil Managing Director, Terry Cooper, who entertained all with another colourful and passionate acceptance speech. Auto One Corporate Store of the Year was awarded to Auto One Singleton, with Adam Thiecke and his dedicated team polling extremely highly in all criteria for the award. A1 Autoparts Store of the Year was presented to A1 Autoparts Wauchope. Laura Hamilton and family have taken their business to the next level from humble beginnings, combining great service, proactive local engagement and comprehensive use of the full A1 Autoparts offer. Auto One Store of the Year – Category 1 – Auto One Morley. Adam Marjoram and his team at the Morley store have been relentless in their pursuit to continually improve the business, brought about by continued improvements in merchandising, high levels of customer service and refining the product mix to align with the demands of the local customer base. Auto One Store of the Year – Category 2 – Auto One Castle Hill. Store owners Simon Hall and Karl Witzlsperger continue to carve out a great niche for themselves in the local area and scored highly in areas such as customer service and qualified advice. Auto One Store of the Year – Category 3 – Auto One Browns Plains. Well-deserved recognition for Mat Cali, Manager Darlene Campbell and their team who were all in attendance at the presentation. The store scored highly in merchandising, customer service, local engagement and innovation – launching several new initiatives throughout 2020.
