AAAEXPO: The future is here
The AAAA is excited to officially launch the 2022 Australian Auto Aftermarket Expo (AAAE)
Taking place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), and co-located with the Collison Repair Expo (CRE), the Australian Auto Aftermarket Expo is the nation’s only comprehensive exhibition for Australia’s $25b aftermarket industry. The show will bring together the industry’s best and brightest, and showcase hundreds of the country’s leading companies, all under one roof across 7 – 9 April 2022. With the theme ‘The Workshop of the Future is Here,’ and debuting a range of fantastic new initiatives and features, the Expo will be an unmissable event. The Expo showcases the latest vehicle repair and servicing equipment, parts, tools and accessories, new technology and trends, an Awards evening, plus a comprehensive training and education program. “We are excited to be able to move forward with our preparations for the Expo – an event run by the industry, for the industry,” AAAA Chief Executive Officer, Stuart Charity, said. “After a challenging couple of years for everyone, our industry is more excited than ever to come together to celebrate, learn, conduct business and network. “The automotive industry in Australia is undergoing unprecedented change driven by the complexity of the car parc, changes in vehicle technology and the changing capabilities and needs of our workforce and customers. “Vehicles with advanced driver assistance systems, pass through technology, embedded telematics (‘connected car’), and hybrid and electric powertrains are on Australian roads today. “These vehicles will need to be safely repaired and maintained for their useful life, anywhere in Australia. “AAAE 2022 will bring together experts from across the industry to provide the very latest information and practical tips on how and when businesses will need to adapt to these changes. “The Expo aims to help visitors prepare for the future, to embrace and capitalise on the evolution of the industry, and the trends and technology that are rapidly developing.” The Expo continues to evolve, and the launch of a number of exciting new initiatives will build further value for exhibitors and attendees visiting the show. This years’ Expo will feature a ‘Workshop of the Future Pavilion’ which will include a display of state-of-the-art equipment and technology as well as regular presentations from industry experts covering the very latest information on Workshop Management Systems, EV repair techniques, ADAS calibration and diagnostics and tooling, including J2534 pass through technology. The launch of the all-new 4WD Innovation Zone is a massive addition for the Expo and has been welcomed by the booming 4WD sector. This dedicated area provides a unique opportunity for companies involved in 4WD modification, accessories and tuning to promote their company through a trade only B2B platform. For the first time, the Expo will incorporate a standalone seminar stage on the show floor, which will deliver a free comprehensive training and education program and enable exhibitors to showcase their latest products, technology and service offerings to a targeted trade audience. Other exciting components of the 2022 Auto Aftermarket Expo include a modified and classic vehicle display area in the show concourse, celebrity appearances, interactive displays and competitions. “We are very excited to announce that Repco has thrown their support behind the show, taking out the Major Sponsor package for AAAE 2022, and we’d like to thank them for their outstanding support,” Stuart said. “We can’t wait for April to open the doors and finally welcome our industry back together. “We know visitors will have a fantastic time and arm themselves with the knowledge to thrive, ready for the exciting future that awaits.” The 2022 AAAExpo is gearing up to be the best ever. With huge exhibitor demand, expect over 250 of Australia’s leading brands to proudly display across 19,500 sqm of floor space at the MCEC. With free entry available to all members of the automotive trade, the Expo is expected to see 10,000 visitors attend over the three-day event. STERLING PARTS RESPONDS TO CUSTOMER WANTS
Following recent research, Sterling Parts is seeking to help customers save time and make more money
Sterling Parts says it has observed that apart from its obvious impacts, COVID-19 has brought about some noticeable on the ground changes within the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Industry. Sterling Parts has undertaken research into the impacts of COVID-19 and emergent consumer trends over the past year by conducting surveys at multiple times between 2020 and 2021. After conducting this market research and listening to its customers, Sterling Parts says it has confirmed a significant trend and shift in preference towards digital engagement and online ordering. In response to this trend, the company has stated that it has accelerated its investment in online ordering and catalogue improvements. From this research, Sterling Parts has identified the importance for its customers to be doing what they do best instead of spending time on the phone ordering parts. Sterling Parts says when customers order online, their orders go direct to its warehouse team’s RDS, taking out unnecessary human contact with their order requirements and all orders are then picked and packed in time for scheduled deliveries. Sterling Parts’ research has also confirmed that stock availability is even more important during these times. Sterling Parts says it works closely with its manufacturers to add new products to its range, and its warehouse teams are kept busy with multiple containers arriving on a weekly basis ensuring there is sufficient stock on the shelf to fulfil customer needs. The company has also heard from its customers that they would like a greater degree of interactions with Sterling Parts. Hearing their feedback, Sterling Parts will be attending the 2022 AAA Expo in Melbourne where its team looks forward to spending valuable time with customers and promoting its range.
