Need something notarized? AAA offers all basic notary services such as power of attorney, real estate transactions, affidavits, placard applications, certifying true and exact copies, and Pennsylvania Department of Treasury unclaimed property and rent rebates. AAA employees have undergone training and testing to become knowledgeable experts in performing notary duties. Mark the page, or pages, that need to be notarized if you are bringing in a large document. All signers must be present with a valid form of identification. Acceptable forms of ID must be current, government issued, have a photo, signature and physical description (for example, a state-issued driver’s license or passport). AAA employees are not permitted to witness any documents. Know what type of notarization you need prior to your arrival. (Acknowledgment, Jurat or other) This is especially important if the notarial certificate is not attached to your document! Ask the organization/person requiring the notarization to provide you with a notarial statement or to advise the type of notarial statement needed. Notaries cannot decide the type of notarization because type of notarization can have important legal ramifications. The cost for members is $5 per notary seal. The cost for non-members is $5 per notary seal + $3 clerical fee for each notary seal, for a total of $8 per notary seal. Notary services on personal documents are free for AAA Premier members. Disposal fee is $3.00 per gallon (cash only). AAA members who display their membership cards can dispose of up to three gallons at no charge (a $9 value).
