10 Things to do at Arts Days

On behalf of the Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge, welcome to Lethbridge’s fifth annual Arts Days! With so much to do and see, here are my top 10 suggestions of what to do during Arts Days, one of the largest annual celebrations of arts in our community that showcases the amazing and diverse talents of our local artists:

• Check out Word on the Street, a family-friendly event that celebrates reading and literacy, and kicks off the week of celebrations.

• Pick up something special at the Arts Days Artisan Market.

• Take in one of the film screenings.

• Head over to the University of Lethbridge for Culture Vulture Saturday.

• Participate in a workshop, art talk, or gallery visit.

• What’s Arts Days without a visit to the Southern Alberta Art Gallery?

• Take a walk downtown with the 12th annual ArtWalk featuring local and original artwork in over 40 venues located throughout our downtown core.

• Spend an evening with the Drama Nutz at the Live in Lethbridge Community Cabaret Night.

• Music, music, music: stop, watch, and listen to the buskers and street performers performing in the downtown core.

• Wrap up the week of celebrations at Family Affair on the Square at Casa Rotary Square. Thank you to the artists, volunteers and all of those who come out and help us celebrate the arts in our city! Enjoy your week! Jenn Schmidt-Rempel, President, Allied Arts Council
