photo scavenger hunt
Last Year’s Photo Scavenger Hunt was such a success that we are going to do it again! It’s just like an old-fashioned scavenger hunt but with a new twist — you take photos of what you find! The goal is to share your digital photos of the places and things you see during Lethbridge Arts Days. Each person or team can share the good memories and interesting sites they encounter! The photo scavenger hunt starts at 11:00am on Sunday, September 23 and ends at 5:00pm, Saturday, September 29. Submit 10 photos using the above clues as inspiration by Friday, October 7, and your name will be entered into a draw for a $100 gift certificate from L.A. Gallery! All photos must be taken at a Lethbridge Arts Days participating event and include the clue they were inspired by. There are several ways you can share them with us: Upload your photos on the wall of our facebook page: www.facebook.com/ArtsDaysLeth Tweet them to @AACLeth use Instagram @AACLeth email them to info@artslethbridge.org RULES Get creative- take photos from interesting levels and angles and
have fun with your camera or phone’s filters & settings! Remember, all photos should be family-friendly! Please submit only one picture per categoryIt’s tempting to take pictures of every cool thing you see, but for the purposes of this contest, we only want to see the best pictures you’ve taken for each category. It should go without saying, but if you’re taking pictures of a person, always ask permission! Also, please keep in mind that we may be posting pictures on the Arts Days and Allied Arts Council website/publications!

The Lethbridge Symphony’s Musaeus string quartet ushers in Autumn with Glen Montgomery, piano, and Margaret Mezei, clarinet. The evening’s program features Prokofiev’s interpretation of Jewish folk music, and a famous Mozart string quartet often heard on film. We finish things off with Brahms’ amazing piano quintet - back by popular demand.

s e g a s s e m u Message from His Worship Mayor Rajko Dodic
I am pleased to invite you to experience Lethbridge Arts Days 2012 and marvel at the array of outstanding artistic talent we have right here in our city. The City of Lethbridge Integrated Community Sustainability Plan, approved by City Council in 2010, identifies the arts as one of the core components of our community’s future. Tangible evidence of this commitment is the new Community Arts Centre taking shape in downtown Lethbridge. This facility will serve as a beautiful cornerstone, reminding us all how much a vital arts community adds to the quality of life in our city. Lethbridge Arts Days is one of many arts celebrations taking place around the province as part of Alberta Culture Days from September 23-30, 2012. Locally, the Allied Arts Council is co-ordinating an array of Arts Days activities for the enjoyment of residents of our community and visitors from around the region. These events serve as a wonderful showcase for Lethbridge’s diverse community of artists and organizations from a broad range of disciplines including visual art, music, performances, demonstrations and more. I would like to thank the Allied Arts Council and the other dedicated volunteers who have worked diligently to bring Arts Days to our community. Your much appreciated efforts help make Lethbridge a culturally rich community. Rajko Dodic, QC
