Katharina Haverich y Christopher Hotti Bรถhm (Berlin) HE-WOLF / SHE-MAN During the residency at AADK she began working on the show HE-WOLF / SHE-MAN with her artistic partner Christopher Bรถhm. This work proposes metamorphoses as a strategy for the familiar confrontation between man and woman. Experimental procedures create uncanny bodies inspired by the wishful thinking and nightmares of the collective unconscious. Katharina and Christopher invite us to dive in a laboratory, to travel through the suggestive images they create but also along the process of the creation, sharing their kitchen, the ingredients of each experiment, exploring on site with us. An experience without narrative but open to our own subconscious associations. Research residency at AADK kindly supported by the Goethe-Institut

Christopher Hotti Böhm Christopher Hotti Böhm (1986) studied Music, Philosophy and Aesthetics in Hanover and Bern. He is based in Berlin where he plays for 13YearCicada which celebrated their record release “Totem Tounge“ in Barcelona in 2017 and Jelly (instrumental techno funk). He played and composed music and sound design for radio (NDR) and theatre Schauspielhaus Hanover, Aufbruch Theater Berlin, internil). Since 2014 he has been producing commissioned works for Orchester im Treppenhaus and Podium Festival Esslingen, both released on “Totale Haptik“. He taught bass at Hanover University of Music, Dama and Media and worked as a tutor at the Institute for Philosophy at Leibniz University in Hanover. He co-founded the music/ performance group ufaaq. Christopher Hotti Böhm received a composition grant from the Ministry for Science and Culture of Lower-Saxony, a research grant from flausen - young artists in residence and he has been accepted for the Mentoring Program for emerging artists at PAP Berlin. Recently he has been working on the drum robot „Franc“ and composed an orchestral piece for a music performance at Theaterhaus Hildesheim. Using machine-generated electronic sounds combined with human sound production he creates parallel-dimensional music with its fictional and cultural implications: real social situations are being transferred into fictional soundscapes.

Katharina Haverich Katharina Haverich studied Theatre in England and Theatre Studies in Berlin. She worked as an assistant at Thalia Theater and Kampnagel in Hamburg, for the Wooster Group in New York and in Berlin for the Institute for Artistic Research. At Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin she assisted Tania Bruguera, Nevin Aladag and Okwui Enwezor. As a performer she has worked with the Argentinean artists Emilio Garcia Wehbi and Maricel Álvarez in Buenos Aires and Mexico-City and for Berlin-based companies internil, Centre for Political Beauty, as well as Choreographer Martin Nachbar. In 2015, Katharina Haverich has been accepted as a mentee into the Mentoring Program for emerging artists at PAP in Berlin. She received grants from the Goethe-Institut, flausen – young artists in residence, FONCA (Mexico) and DAAD. Her live-art works show moments of violent, continuous metamorphoses and investigate into physical identity and emotional devastation. Starting materials are peculiar dreams and biographic states.

Daniel Hernández (ALICANTE) Direction: Abraham Hurtado / Sound: Selu Herraiz Silenciados —experimento 2 The current research of Daniel and Alberto has as object of analysis the silence, without excluding the possibilities to explore other meanings of it, at the moment they have focused on the social silence, insured by the legal and and economic structures. Gathering and public expression are liable to be considered a punishable offense, and the legal and constabulary apparatus is in charge of making it effective. These has generated a recognizable gestural repertoire. The first experience was based in exploring and assimilating this gestural repertoire. The sound-work tells us about internet as a tool of power that goes in two opposite directions —on one hand as a speaker of a diversified visión, which breaks the monopolio of the information, and on the other hand as a trap which collects the traces of all our actions and thoughts, the new silencing power of the monitoring. In this second experience, the starting point is the previous work, they change medium, from performance to installation, as the timeless presence of the body here makes it into a life installation and. Selu Herraiz comes into it to make the soundscape of the piece. Regarding to the topic, they are still talking about the social silence, and they incorporate other silenced, bodies which have become a mere obstacle. People who have suffered a silent fall and have lost their social representativity to become creatures which barely can take care of their existence.

Noelia rueda (Barcelona) castillo de naipes .

Castillo de Naipes is an installation which formalizes the emotional states and expectations which the society and self judgement generates in people. To experiment in art is to jump into the void and leave behind what you have learned to undertake new conceptual and material hunts After conceptualizing in the first month of residency a new medium that can host the imagery of her illustrations, Noelia has been confronted with the emptiness, with the vertigo, with inconstancy, the doubts and consequently with demotivation. She wills to create freely but her visual language has been at the time her net, there is a technique learned by the body, by its repetition and it is difficult to get rid of it. The installation composed by fragments of her previous artwork, with intervened panels and mirror sheets, contains in a sculptural way, all the process she went through during the second month of residency.

Noelia Rueda Graduated in Graphic design, artistic explorer by vocation. From the mixture of both: graphic artist. I draw, I do with my hands, I design, I print, I bind, I make portrait, I paint walls, I sing, I experiment, I live. I make drawing and automatic writing, I believe in shamanism, I do theater, I dance, I play music, I do meditation... Everything I have created from these experiences has taught me more about life than anything else. The last 5 years I was immerse into the exploration of my universe -the unconscious / the hidden, and a blank paper and a marker have revealed many truths to me. I have fun drawing without knowing what. I enjoy spontaneity and the here / now and that is reflected equally in my work as in my personal life. That’s where I am, here and now.

aisa boaa (Cartagena) viaje hacia la nada The individual work of Aisa has a strong visual content, despite its simplicity in the staging, and the multiplicity of actions. This time her process has been developed from images she envisioned when arriving to Blanca, as a response to the space in which she is working and to the elements found in the surroundings. With an initial profuse proposal, she has streeped away actions to generate a journey in four stations in which the time is marked by the material qualities of the chosen elements — the friction of the water against the surface, the gravity on the volatility of the asses or the strength of a fragile element like paper. The background theme of the artwork in progress, turnes around the idea of death as a metaphor of creation, transits and transformations which trespass blindly the limits, where we are inevitably driven without knowing what is waiting for us on the other side.

Aisa Boaa Aisa Boaa, from Cartagena, is interested since her childhood in writing, dance and painting. This last one learned in her father’s workshop for eight years. In 1997 she graduated in drama at the Drama School of Murcia, after experimenting with various disciplines, she found in the Art of Action and the Butoh Dance her medium and a language of its own. Through activating simple actions in which the body is the main instrument, her work is eclectic in content and expression, conceptual poems in which she uses any discipline required, from plastics to sound. Of her works we can emphasize the video-action The C. of O. exhibited in the Salón de la Crítica of Murcia (2006). Her participation in the first Performance Festival of Murcia “6 bodies” developed by Bartolomé Ferrando. In 2010 her work ENCRUCIJADA was selected in the Parallel Events of Manifesta8. In the same year she presents a Butoh dance piece at the third edition of the Barcelona festival in Butoh, to later collaborate with Yumino Seki at the Coastal Currents art festival in Hastings, UK. She currently combines her personal work with her participation in the work Frida; Traces of an interior sea, premiered in Seville at the beginning of 2016, and in the Sample of contemporary authors of Alicante in the same year.
