RED and WHITE SUITE for guitar duo

RED and WHITE SUITE for guitar duo
I. Ouverture ("...of boyish red") II. Allemande ("...perspiration white") III. Sarabande ("...yellow and sere") IV. Minuet ("...in his white throat") V. Gigue ("...a pale sweet spike") Notes: All repeats are optional. The dynamic gamut is from ppp to fff. A sfz is always within a f dynamic unless otherwise specified. Harmonics sound as written. Throughout the suite, the players should try to stay within the indicated tempo gamut. Whenever possible, do not go slower than the lowest indicated tempo. Allemande: The tempi in this movement are very elastic and are to be read differently from the other movements. A tempo gamut is provided throughout the movement, accompanied by upward and downward arrows which signify accelerandi and rallentandi respectively. The tempo gamut is to be read according to the following scheme: Players begin with the slower tempo; over the course of an upward arrow, the players gradually speed up until they achieve the faster tempo. This new tempo is maintained until a downward arrow is given, at which point the players return to the original tempo, or move onto another indicated tempo. An example of how this should be executed is shown below. q = 80 - 92
q = 66 - 80
