Synonymous to nirvana, synonymous to bliss - today, is the urban trend of spirituality and yoga. To feel happy and self confident is an attractive notion to counter modern day stress and the chaotic world in which we live. Yoga has become a lifestyle choice, a trend statement; The theme explores and encourages spirituality, fun and exuberant self - expression via the medium of social networks. Embracing the colossal wave of selfies and instagram, is an extension of the urban wellness and fitness trend. Adapting the ‘feel good,look good’ mantra, people pose, preen and parade themselves. Being happy on the inside is reflecting on the outside. The appeal of the theme is perfectly in sync with the modern day desires of the current new. Happiness is a state of mind, yoga is the medium and peacock preening is the resultant attitude. Taking inspiration from the brilliant jewel tones of the peacock plumage, this seasonal story’s colours exude vibrance, reflect iridescence with teal, blue-greens and violet feathers. Borrowing from the yoga asana ‘ sooryanamaskar’, last year’s orange skies fade into this seasons monochromatic yellow tones of general well being and happiness.
