creculare GUIDE 02
Guide provides a circular design framework and facilitation plans which will take designers and business leaders through a step-by-step the process to understand the circular economy and develop sustainable ideas for their own companies
PHASE ONE. To create circular systems, it can be helpful to understand the user’s current scenario and methods of consumption. A set of 18 trigger cards is provided to bring all the findings from the research to the table and it also provides enough space for creating your ideas. You can combine all cards from different categories to generate future scenarios and stories.
PHASE TWO. Concept capture is all about going wide and generating lots of ideas, and then narrowing down into the relevant ones. In the starting, it’s necessary to keep an open mind without judgment and only apply a critical lens after you have gone wide. You will develop you concepts based on “What if.. questions and focus on circularity
PHASE THREE. Circularity means rethinking a linear use cycle of your product or service with a beginning, middle, and end. If a product or service is truly circular, it will never actually have an end to its life, but continuously take a new form. Mapping this journey will ensure that your product is staying in a useful state for as long as possible and adds value at every stage.
PHASE FOUR. So, you’ve got plenty of ideas around circularity, but how do you decide which ones will determine to be the most beneficial to your business and to the system you’re designing in? Take a step back from the circular concepts to assess their values from a strategic business perspective, and your abilities to progress them as an organization.
PHASE FIVE. After selecting the most relevant concepts, you need to set the next steps for your product, service, or system. Consider what you have direct influence over and start there. This last phase will help you identify strategies and collaborations needed to implement and enable your circular products, services, and systems for millennial’s that work for their business.
INTRODUCTION. The toolkit also includes a section that explains the benefits of using this toolkit and tips before you start the workshop.
FACILITATION. Facilitation plans provides with step by step break down on how to use tools and framework. Through the phases, use all the tools provided as a guide, discuss the answers and process with the team on worksheets and working walls. The guide also provides with basic checklist for the workshop.
The following worksheets will keep track of all ideas and help to map different concept elements to identify gaps and opportunities. It will also help teams to engage with other ideas and foster a creative exchange

PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT
PROTOTYPE TESTING AND BETA RELEASE
Funding to establish the Creculare would be around $120k to prepare the toolkit and workshop for the market. The funding would be apart of the starting payroll for me as a toolkit designer and facilitator as well as for other supplies such as paperwork and printing. The funding will also be used for marketing and sales. This will be a beta release where the toolkit will be introduced in the market and tested.
TOOLKIT REFINEMENT
After the beta release, the toolkit will be refined. Within the first 6 months, there will be a massive focus on refinement and improvement to increase the credibility of the toolkit. By the end of the phase, the toolkit will be printed and ready to be distributed to the channels
MASSIVE LAUNCH Creculare launches to the market! The goal is to distribute and conduct more than 60 workshops within the first year of the business. Next 3-5 years will be spent to develop more toolkits and workshops on the principle of the circular economy to help innovators and designers to move towards circularity.
