Googleplex(academic ) Googleplex in 2200, a prediction of architectural possibilities, draws inspiration from the futuristic world of author Neal Stephenson’s sci-fi novel The Diamond Age wherein; mediaglyphic language, phenomenoscopic and phantoscopic retinal implants, reproductive freedom machines, spinal teleaethetics, lidars, and the mediatron are a functioning reality. The structure’s design is informed most significantly by Stephenson’s vision of matter compiling atomic reconfiguration nanotechnology, through which articles may dissect themselves, reducing to their most basic elements and subsequently reforming to meet the everevolving need of the consumer. Google Headquarters New York City, home to a company that must, as a central point of business, consistently anticipate and moves to the beat of everupgrading technology. In keeping with this spirit of continual progress and change, Googleplex in 2200 proposes an amendment to the headquarters’ existing structure. Designed through imagined employment of the technology introduced above, the chosen portion outlined morphs and reconfigures in immediate response to the emerging spatial and structural needs of Google and, in so doing, demonstrates the realization of a proposed futuristic architectural reality, at high speed. Workers’ housing(academic) Appearing much like a neon draped nightclub against the evening sky and playfully reminiscent of chocolate drizzled iced confection or grandiose petit-four in daylight, this structure is designed to inject celebratory energy into a framework traditionally lacking joyous expression, associated with repetitive drudgery, and characterized primarily by uninspired uniformity. Proposed here, is a mixed residence for young factory laborers in technologically geared contract positions that respect worker dignity and individualism by recognizing and addressing lifestyle needs far beyond basic shelter. This project is designed to promote a new standard in worker’s housing which will offer ample residential, commercial, guest, and recreational space and further, which will bring the luxury of cutting-edge technological advancement back to those responsible for its physical actualization in product form.

Artist Residence Programmatically, This design contains the living and workspaces of a sculptor and a musician, as well as a common shared environment. Where the ground floor is the residence, the upper floor is a studio with exposure to natural sunlight. The massing morphology is informed by view orientation, setback requirements, and a crystalline or grid effect, all of which are driven by the distribution and articulation of interior spaces. rather than using the faceting logics that are matter-geometry-driven. This was tightly coordinated with the plan to ensure the autonomy of the external form the demands and desires of the interior.

House with common walls on both sides. The house occupies a long and narrow plot surrounded by building on 3 sides. Forced to derive the light and ventilation only from the top and front, the house is designed around 2 large openings, one in the drawing room on the ground floor and one in the bedroom on the first floor.

Vision The main interest and focus for the following chapters are led by the central question: How can we use computational design technics to simulate and express human consciousness combined with levitation on different scales of the system?

The ‘Experience Suit’ on the prosthesis level represents an on-body feedback device, capable of sensing & collecting the consciousness of others, visualizing our energetic frequency level, and outputting our current emotional state. Team: Aatish Moon & Anett Kulcsar

The corpuscles of our inhabitants with the same consciousness level merge with each other and form bigger neighborhoods along a dynamic curve, generating our ‘Quanta Cloud Experience’ - a massive cluster of corpuscles and large-scale public spaces with two distinct functions - designed for levitation living.
