We Can Live Better A RALLYING CRY FOR REAL HEALTH AND CARE REFORM
The worldwide rate of obesity has more than doubled since 1980. There are now about as many overweight people alive as there were *total* people alive a century ago. The rate of diabetes and pre-diabetes has increased 100,000% in one century. More than 40 million children under the age of five are overweight.
This is what we’re up against. This is the enemy. This is what we’re called to spend our time on.
We’re not in a battle against one another. Nobody working to help others eat food instead of eating edible products is our enemy. Arguing is a waste of our time and resources when there are 1.4 billion overweight people whose lives could be saved by the basics that unite us.
To make a dent in the multibillion dollar interests backing the sickness status quo, we are called to: • Celebrate our similarities rather than demonizing our differences • Ignore those who tear other down so we may spend our time helping those in need • Focus on serving the 99% who need it rather than furthering the 1% who don’t
And if we must get negative, let us focus our efforts on those who remain nameless, faceless, and hell bent on stuffing us with processed sweets, refined starches, and industrial fats, or convincing us that starvation is healthy. Those who seek to profit off of others pain are the adversary; not those who genuinely seek to improve health and wellness.
Together we can turn the tides against the worst health crisis the modern world has ever seen. And we must.
It is literally a matter of life and death.
Here’s to a future characterized by unity, positivity, and celebration of the tides finally turning against the disproven nutritional mythology that has led to the worst health the world has ever seen.
United we are health and fit. Divided we are heavy and sick.
