Winter Newsletter Welcome to the Winter edition of our Abacus Creative Resources newsletter. Firstly, I would like to wish all our customers a Happy New Year, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2023. Before I get onto the exciting plans we have at Abacus for the year ahead, I thought I would recap what we got up to at the end of last year. Back in September we exhibited at the Scottish Education Expo in Glasgow along with our friends from Uni-Mitsubishi, this was a first for Abacus and it was great to connect with existing and new customers. We also concluded our kit-o-meter campaign and reached our target of delivering over 10,000 creative kits to students and offsetting over 3,990kg of Carbon! The team have been working hard over the last few months behind the scenes on a big project, which will be revealed in the coming months which we can’t wait to share with you! We are really excited the positive impact its going to have on our customers – which is always our primary focus! Product Spotlight For this product spotlight we are celebrating one of our best sellers and team favourites, System 3 Acrylic 500m from Daler Rowney. Employee Spotlight – Roddy In this edition we are delighted to feature one of our directors Roddy Swindell, who has worked for the family business for over 30 years. Roddy looks after our college and retail sectors and can often be found connecting with customers face to face and loves nothing more than walking in the Lake District in his spare time. Favourite Food: Roast Lamb. Favourite Place: Coniston, Lake District.
New for 2023 - Creative Caddy One of the exciting additions to Abacus for 2023 is Lyndon’s pride and joy, the Creative Caddy! A showroom/shop combo, bringing our best sellers to your door on Lyndon’s visits! This gives our customers the opportunity to pick up any essential items they might have just run out of and to get up close and personal with products they’ve not been able to see in the flesh! As well as showcasing our fantastic product range, word has it that there might be some treats for customers in there too!
Calling All Teachers! Would you like to get free products in exchange for a video or written review? This is your chance! In 2023 we are running a new initiative ‘Teacher Trials’ on selected products! Here is how it works; we will loan or gift you a product, and after a month of testing it out you submit a written or a video review!
