ALBERTA CONFERENCE

BRANDING GUIDELINES FOR STATIONERY, SIGNAGE, AND E-SIGNATURES

ATTN: Communications, IT and Media Director Alberta Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church 5816 Highway 2A Lacombe, Alberta T4L 2G5

Alberta Conference Leaders and Members, Congratulations on rolling out the new branding materials and jumping on board with the goal of rebranding our logo and image worldwide. The information contained in the Alberta Conference Branding Guidelines Manual describes the core elements of our identity system, and in our increasingly technology-driven and interconnected world, branding materials help people recognize that we are all Seventh-day Adventists. As you may know, Brian Gray, designer of the very first official Seventh-day Adventist logo in 1997, is a Canadian born on the Prairies. As an entity within the church in Canada, we take particular pride in use of this logo. It is most excellent that the Alberta Conference is the leading conference in Canada to implement this recently voted General Conference modification. Keep up the good work; it is appreciated. Sincerely,

Stan Jensen Communication Director, Messenger Editor Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada

Dear Alberta Conference Pastors, Principals, Board Members, and Members: The Alberta Conference has recently undergone a comprehensive rebranding. As you may already be aware, the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church developed a set of branding guidelines for the world church. It has encouraged each division to create and roll out its unique application of branding within those guidelines. Recently, the North American Division took the challenge and rolled out its new branding guidelines. Now, the trickle - down effect has occurred. In 2019, the Canadian Conference presidents unanimously voted to adopt the new branding. In response, we at the Alberta Conference have initiated a full rebranding for all our entities and sought to develop practical guidelines applicable to our territory of Alberta and The Northwest Territories. This manual is the official set of guidelines for the new stationery, signage, and e-signature branding and its application for all churches, schools, and sub-organizations of the Alberta Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Additional guidelines will be forthcoming dealing with social media, digital presentation, videography, and other branding related areas. We hope you find the contents of this manual helpful in your efforts to implement and use the new branding in your local church, school, and other-ministry context. We wish you God's blessings and much success!

Eric L. Ollila Communications/IT/Media Director
