Context Talia Welka is a 3rd year photography student at Leeds College of Art in need of a self-rebrand. In time for final submission of her module and to further prepare her for the professional world in a smart, and conceptually strong manner. Talia’s work focuses primarily on fashion, editorial and documentary style photography. Bold in colour, and composition. The identity needs to possess professionalism, and a sleek minimal quality while playing reference to the photographer’s bold style of work. Brief or Tasks Produce a full identity for Talia, taking into account the clients specialism and needs, and vitally – what makes the client unique and interesting. Produce material that aims to to make the clients dayto-day life a little easier, and more efficient. Minimum expectations for the identity are business cards, letterheads, invoice, logo and crucially mail-out material such as a portfolio and CV. All material needs to be easily producible in bulk by the client as and when needed – and also easily producible for the end of year show. Preparation/Research suggestions Culture plays a hugely important part in the client’s background, and also inspiration. Look into ways to bring this into play into the identity. Research into the daily photography process of the client, personally and from other sources in order to produce material that is relevant to the identity and makes it stronger. Research into existing successful identity projects for photographers, and the product range the deliverables cater towards. Evidence – for this project students should submit Online blogging of development, research and constant reflection of progress. Photography/Presentation of final deliverables
