Message from the Chief Executive Officer
On behalf of the AmCham Dubai Board of Directors, we extend warm wishes to all observing Ramadan. May this holy month be filled with blessings, reflection, and unity.
As we bid farewell to the first quarter of 2024, I'm delighted to share some highlights of our journey thus far. We commenced the year on a robust note with our annual Arab Health kickoff breakfast, held in partnership with American Hospital Dubai and Viatris. The event served as a vibrant platform under the theme "Connecting Minds, Transforming Healthcare," where we explored the pivotal role of AI and technology in revolutionizing the healthcare landscape
Throughout the quarter, our focus remained on our committees for the year ahead With dedicated committee chairs in place and enthusiastic engagement from our membership, we witnessed an enthusiasm for collaboration and progress.
Additionally, on International Women’s Day, we recognized the invaluable contributions of women in our community and beyond. It was an occasion to honor their achievements, advocate for gender equality, and reaffirm our
commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.
As we transition into Q2, our attention turns to a hallmark event on our calendar the AmCham MENA 12th Annual Regional Conference. Set to unfold over two and a half days, this conference promises enriching discussions, invaluable networking opportunities, and insights into the future of business in the MENA region I encourage you to stay tuned for further details and mark your calendars for what promises to be a transformative gathering More information inside the newsletter.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication. Here's to a quarter filled with accomplishments, and to the journey ahead, brimming with possibilities.

KEY TAKEAWAYS
The responsible use of AI will be paramount in ensuring wider-scale adoption of these tools in healthcare Regulatory guardrails will need to be implemented to maintain consistency and create a fair playing field
The pace of change and some of the innovations seen in this space already have helped revolutionize the thinking behind how these tools can benefit society.
AI in and of itself is not a new discipline and has been around for over three decades. The world has just become much more adept at innovating in this space
Clinical practice is already leveraging AI solutions in the patient setting Predictive algorithms support the better coordination of clinical response
AI-guided human interactions are helping streamline the creation of smart reports, creating a summarized and consolidated clinical recommendation
AI solutions need to be thoughtfully deployed to ensure all populations have the same opportunities, awareness, and data sets available to help them benefit from the innovation.

Every State and Sector: The report shows the vast increase in digital trade across the U.S. and breaks down on a state-by-state basis how many jobs are supported by digital trade, as well as revenue earned through digital exports

Appointment Program Business Visa
AmCham Dubai is pleased to partner with the U.S. Mission to the U.A.E. to provide business members access to expedited business visa appointments via the Business Visa Appointment Program (BVAP).
Through BVAP, the employees of AmCham Dubai’s business member companies who have an evident and urgent need for business travel to the United States will have the ability to request for an expedited appointment.
Only Consular officers can determine visa eligibility, AmCham Dubai facilitates this service at the discretion of the US Consulate.
Participation in BVAP may require separate supporting documentation & members are in no way guaranteed an appointment or the successful issuance of a non-immigrant visa.
AmCham Dubai strongly encourages applicants to apply for required visas well in advance of their intended date to allow for adequate processing time for applications
