[Direct evaporation cooling in the entrance area] The pattern is an innovated pattern as a parametric Mashrabiya. The formation method of this pattern is to make it out of four similar patterns by making a random rotating every time we add another layer which make a informal pattern that provides the same function. This Mashrabiya located only in the first part of the pass starting from the entrance considering cultural, environmental and visual aspects. The material used in this part in cladding is a new innovative material called “Chitin. Chitin, is a 3D printing material in a shape that is designed as evaporation bricks, moisturized with the dew collected from the surface during the night. It lets the dry hot air to be naturally cooled down by the energy change.

KÖNIGSUFER UND NEUSTÄDTER MARKT dresden, germany The Königsufer is characterized mainly by the soft edge of the room and the large scenic riparian zone. The Neustädter Markt with its heterogeneous buildings represents the entrée to Neustadt and forms the heart of the northern bank. The redesign of the area between Hotel Bellevue and the Ministry of Finance has re-staged the gateway to the city with urban interventions. Found qualities are strengthened in their positive quality and heterogeneity is understood as an opportunity. The aim of the urban development situation with a hybrid character is to define and develop the gateway to the city.

We have attempted to deliver a framework in which address the conditions of the squares within the centre by possibly enabling a future form of growth and occupation. We understand these squares as, like the grain of the block within the city, a self contained site of representation. Narrative is within the threshold of the square, as also reflected by its city context. The square in this context, can be understood as a self contained timeline of history, an architecture hoping to representation and communicate. The fabric of these squares, comparative to that of the ones within the Canico, have been utilities in the communication of occupation and freedom throughout Maputo’s history.
