Graham Lawson

Senior Engineer at Persimmon Homes

“Abertay’s Civil Engineering degree is fantastic. It was an intensive four years that covered a broad spectrum of subjects. During our third year we were put on a placement in the industry for three months. To be given the opportunity to go into the real world and put the skills learned in class into practise really shows you how your learning can shape the world. “

Study Civil and Environmental Engineering at Abertay and gain the knowledge and skills you need to become a Chartered Civil Engineer.

You’ll be given a firm grounding across a wide range of civil and environmental engineering applications, with plenty of practical and hands-on experience gained through industry partners, including Transport Scotland, Balfour Beatty, and BEAR Scotland.

You’ll get a chance to work directly in the industry to gain a deeper focus on specific areas that impact the built, human and natural environment.
