Getting here Our campus is in Dundee city centre and only a 10 minute walk from the bus and train stations. The limited on-street parking is for less than an hour and not suitable for Open Day. Look for AA signage for car parking. Closest is West Bell Street car park, satnav DD1 1EX. Next closest is Bank Street carpark, satnav DD1 1RW.

When you arrive First thing to do is check in. Make your way to the foyer of the Kydd building where you’ll get a welcome bag.

Refreshments Grab time when you can to sit down, relax and stoke up. Aroma Café, ground floor in the Student Centre (the big building directly opposite where you came in to check in). Drinks and light snacks PLUS don’t miss stovies and mac ‘n cheese only £2.50. Library Café (where else but in the Library). Drinks and light snacks. Complimentary coffee stations are in each Academic School Basecamp Room.

What’s On - At a Glance Scheduled Sessions Academic School Basecamp Rooms These will be filled with degree programme information and staff and students for you to talk to. Don’t be shy, drop in and chat with us. Degree Programme Talks Find out more about your subject of choice at one of our degree programme presentations hosted by Lecturers. Facility Tours/Q&A Have a look around our fantastic facilities which are tailored to your degree programme of interest. Division Showcases Learn more about your subject area in either an engaging or hands-on session run by each of our academic school divisions. These are great and draw a crowd, don’t miss them. Degree programme talks are aimed primarily at prospective students. May we ask parents/ guardians to please make way for them should the room be nearing capacity entry.

What’s On - Tours and Visits Accommodation Tours | 10:00am - 5:00pm

Campus Tours 10am-3.30pm (last tour). Leave from Kydd building reception. Our campus is small but perfectly formed. Why not get a feel for it by taking a tour with one of our student helpers. Tours take 20-30 mins.

Library Tours | 10:15am - 3:30pm (last tour) Leave from Kydd building reception Self-guided tours and introductory sessions start every half hour at 10.15am. The hub of student life at the University. It’s where our students access extra online information for their courses, use PCs and borrow laptops as well as books. There’s a one-stop shop for all their queries (Support Enquiry Zone), space for individual, group, quiet and social study and a café. Support Enquiry Zone (SEZ) Part of Library tour

Pre-booked tours leaving every 30 mins from the ground floor of the Library Tours take about 30 mins. If you’ve not prebooked a tour, check with our Residence staff for availability. Don’t miss the talk on student accommodation which will answer many of your questions, see next page. Student Centre Visit Go visit the Student Centre, just turn up. It’s the social hub of the campus and the perfect place to eat, relax and meet your new friends. Basement : for the Common Room for free access PCs, games consoles and a projector for communal gaming and film screenings. Ground floor: for the Campus shop and Aroma café. First floor: for Bar One diner, pool tables, TVs playing music channels and a quiet place to study.

Gym Visit | 10.00am-5.00pm Visit our gym, and check out the facilities, meet our gym assistants and hear more about sports clubs at Abertay. From dance to rugby, there’s something for everyone. See the ground floor of the Graham building – follow the signs.

Your one-stop-shop for any enquiry. Also open evenings and weekends you can ask us anything and if we can’t help directly we’ll put you on to the specialist service that can. Hear more about SEZ and see where we’re based on the Library Tour.

Student funding 1.00-1.30pm, 4.00-4.30pm Lecture Theatre (2517), Kydd building Get advice on the financial aspects of studying at university from representatives from the Student Awards Agency for Scotland. There is also a drop-in information stand. Student life 3.30-4.00pm Room 1006, Old College building Come hear about student life, live and unfiltered, from the Abertay Student’s Association – run by students for students. Everything from the societies you can join to the support and representation available to encourage students to find their voice.
