Are you interested in being a comic book artist? Would you like to create your own graphic novels? Take inspiration from the incredible work of our students at Abertay Digital Graduate Show and use this booklet to come up with your own concept for an amazing new comic!

Who is your lead character(s)? E.g. Wizard, scientist, school pupil, animal, super hero

What does the character(s) do?


Where does your comic take place? E.g. castle, lab, school, alleyway, outer space

What is the storyline?


How do you convey the storyline through words? E.g. thought balloons, captions, speech bubbles, onomatopoeia (BLAM! SNAP! POW!)

What kind of atmosphere do you want the comic to have? E.g. fun, scary, serious, intriguing


Sketch the Character(s) in your comic. What do they look like? What are they wearing?
