Financial Requirements Bank Statement – Deadline is Monday 18th November 2023 The bank statement is required to show you can afford to pay your remaining fees and live as a student in the UK for the length of your degree. The bank statement must show: • The remaining tuition fee amount that you need to pay • AND £9207 (UKVI recommended living cost for 9 months) for 28 consecutive days before submitting

CAS Shield CAS Shield is the platform we use to help you prepare for receiving your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance of Study). You need the CAS for your VISA application. Without it, your visa application will not be complete. You must complete all aspects of the CAS Shield application, including uploading any required documents or evidence, your bank statement showing that you can afford to study in the UK and the Pre-CAS Questionnaire being filled in by you, the applicant. If you have been asked to attend an interview, this is mandatory and cannot be avoided. The process is very easy and friendly though so please do not be worried about it. The interview process tells you everything you need to know before you answer each question and you are given time to prepare. It is essential that this is done as soon as you can so that we can assess the results before the upcoming deadlines. If you have the assistance of an agent, please ensure you (the applicant) are fulfilling all of the conditions yourself, and not your agent.

Hints and Tips There are a few things to bear in mind and to consider throughout this process: 1. Use the Help function (lower left corner of the CAS Shield screen) to ask questions and get help with any difficulties. 2. Speak to our Admissions Team directly from CAS Shield (lower right corner of the CAS Shield screen) for any support you need from them. 3. Keep an eye on the upcoming deadlines. We will not be able to extend the deadlines so it is important you complete each task beforehand. 4. The sooner you complete CAS Shield and receive your CAS Letter, the sooner you can submit your visa application.

Visa Application The earlier the visa application is submitted, the quicker you will receive your visa so please prioritise this! Travel bookings do not need to be made before the visa is applied for. The visa application must be filled in by you (the student) and not your agent. If you are working with an agent, please do not allow them to fill in the visa application on your behalf. It is ESSENTIAL that you know exactly what you are filling in and agreeing to as part of the UK Student Visa process. UKVI Visa Application processing times – lengthy delays due to the time of year, Christmas, and another big intake for Universities across the UK. Please give yourself a lot of time for your visa application as we cannot accept late arrivals.
