When you arrive
Our campus is in Dundee city centre and only a 10-minute walk from the bus and train stations. The limited on-street parking is for less than an hour and not suitable for Open Day. Look for AA signage for car parking. Closest is West Bell Street car park, satnav DD1 1EX. Next closest is Bank Street carpark, satnav DD1 1RW.
First thing to do is check-in. Make your way to the foyer of the Kydd Building.
Refreshments Refuel during the day at one of our locations on campus, any time between 9.00am - 4.00pm. Aroma Cafe (ground floor in the Student Centre, the big building directly opposite where you checked-in). Facility Tours/Q&A Have a look around our fantastic facilities, which are tailored to your degree programme(s) of interest. Demos, Displays, and Interactive Sessions Learn more about your subject area in engaging and hands-on sessions run by each of our academic school divisions. These sessions always draw a crowd, so don’t miss them. *Degree programme talks are aimed primarily at prospective students. We ask parents/ guardians to please make way for them should the room be nearing its capacity.

Library Tours | 10.00am - 4.00pm Leaving every 30 mins from Kydd Building Reception starting from 10.15am. Last tour leaves at 3.45pm. Self-guided tours and introductory sessions. Duration: 20-30 mins The hub of student life at the University. It’s where our students access extra online information for their courses, use PCs and borrow laptops as well as books. There’s a one-stop-shop for all your queries (Support Enquiry Zone), space for individual, group, quiet and social study, and a café.
Support Enquiry Zone (SEZ) Part of Library tour. Your one-stop-shop for any enquiry. Open evenings and weekends, you can ask SEZ anything, and if they can’t help directly, they’ll put you in touch with the specialist service that can. Hear more about SEZ and see where they’re based.
Come along to the ground floor of the library to chat with our Residence staff, see 360˚ views of our student accommodation and gather for a tour of our Halls. Tours take about 30 mins. Check with our Residences staff for availability of tours on the day. There are also talks on student accommodation, which will answer many of your questions.
Student Centre Visit Visit our Student Centre when you have a free moment. It’s the social hub of the campus and the perfect place to eat, relax and meet your new friends. Basement: for the Common Room, free access PCs, games consoles and a projector for communal gaming and film screenings. Ground floor: for the Campus shop and Aroma café. First floor: for Bar One diner, pool tables, TVs playing music channels and a place to study.
Gym Visit | 10.00am - 4.00pm Located in the Graham Building, check out the facilities, meet our gym assistants and hear more about sports clubs at Abertay. From dance to rugby, there’s something for everyone.

Few things in the world are as fascinating as Psychology. And here you’ll find out why! Come along and see us as we give you a short overview of our Psychology programmes and examples of the type of interactive sessions you can expect to see at Abertay. 1) Offender profiling: Giving you the chance to view a mock crime scene and think about how we can identify offenders using psychological theory based on behaviour. 2) Sports Psychology: In the world of sport, psychology plays a huge role in preparation. This session will focus on the role that ‘visualisation’ can play in sport. 3) Face Facts: Learn about the human face and voice, and how information projected by them can feature highly in social interaction. 4) Lefties & Righties: We examine performance differences between your preferred and non-preferred hand, using speed and accuracy tests. Sport and Exercise at Abertay has flexibility at its core. This approach is reflected in our Open Day, where we’ll show you an ‘average week’ in your first semester, before allowing you to work around three sessions to give you a flavour of current modules in our sports programmes.

Mental health problems affect 1 in 4 people. Mental health nurses play an essential role in providing recovery services to those affected.
