About the Book Remains offers "poems that are vibrant with a measured optimism". The collection is divided into six books. The poems in each book “confront with the smell and feel of a person, place or thing and create a resonance like the ringing of bells or like a gentle breeze on a hot desert afternoon. What is characteristic of the poems in this collection is a pristine kind of simplicity devoid of too much artifice, poems alive with the rippling, surging presence of water.”
