The studio explored the earth as a medium for construction. The project explores how rammed earth walls benefit Anganwadi centres. How materials help reduce construction costs and create employment opportunities for local communities. How good thermal mass, and other properties of rammed earth are used to regulate indoor temperature and reduce the need for air conditioning or heating.

Porous materials like bamboo and clay tiles are used for roofing and wall cladding, allowing for natural air circulation and daylight penetration. These materials explore how energy consumption for lighting and ventilation can be done while creating a healthy and comfortable indoor environment for children.

The plan was formed from the idea of having Three levels each for an activity separated and connected using stairs and plinth

Structures with limited or private functions, like the infirmary and washrooms, are more solid, and the other public functions, such as the 'Anganwadi,' are open to the surroundings.

Levels connecting these plinths were later incorporated into the Angan wadi to bring playfulness and connectivity to the structure vegetation was also introduced inside the Anganwadi for the kids to interact more with nature.
