Print & Pattern

I visited the Botanical Gardens in Copenhagen and took pictures of the exotic plants. I then took these photos in to photoshop and edited and overlayed them to inspire my print and pattern designs.

Hand Rendered Prints

Here I drew two circles with a vertical line going through them. I then joined the the circles together by drawing to semi-circles to create a continous effect. I drew straight lines inside the two full circles to create some depth to the pattern.

Here I used a base shape of a circle and then drew wavering lines inside taking inspiration from the patterns on the leaves.

For this print I drew straight lines and then coloured a few sections of the pattern in to create a symmetricl geometric pattern.

23.

I have taken an image of leaf and used the quick selection tool to delete parts of the image. I then overlayed the image multiple times and lowered the saturation and opacity to create this pattern.

I used an image from the botanical gardens and adjusted the contrast of the image. I then used curves to create this dark pattern.

I took one of images from the botanical gardens and I have made the image black and white. I then altered the opacity and changed the levels of the image to create this pattern.

This is a hand rendered print. I took inspiration from the Russian Constructivism movement and created this print for my collection using a series of lines and different fills.

Inspirational Imagery

31.

These images are focused around architecture, and were taken in the streets of Copenhagen, in the districts of Norrebro and Christianshavn. 32.

I visited the Copenhagen Design Schools library and looked at Russian Constructivism and Bauhaus movement books. I found these images in various different books. I find these images inspiring due to there different outlines and shapes .
