National Care Group’s Covid-19 Response Operating within a highly regulated sector such as Specialist Care comes with its challenges, and more so amidst the ongoing pandemic. The government response to Covid-19 has affected the way the sector is funded and governed. It has impacted National Care Group’soperations as a specialist care provider. National Care Group’s response was immediate and decisive - creating a dedicated Covid19 Committee to oversee the implementation of all safety measures to protect staff and the individuals we support. Comprising members of our Executive Team and senior regional leadership team, the Committee is responsible for developing strategies and communicating with the relevant stakeholders on operational plans moving forward. In seeking to follow all national and local government guidance, we have worked collaboratively with everyone involved at National Care Group to ensure that we regularly com-
municate the latest updates on required safety procedures, visitor arrangements and changes to legislation for all to be aware of. We continue to provide more than adequate levels of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure the safety of all involved within our services so that we can maintain and continue to provide the levels of care that are expected from us. We are proud to say that we have coped remarkably well and the incidence of Covid19 related infection has been extremely low. It is a testament to the skill, professionalism, determination, and patience of so many supported by the National Care Group COVID-19 Response plan, that the rates of infection amongst the individuals we support has been extremely low. We will continue to review and manage our response to this evolving situation, both nationally and locally, and remain committed to providing all the necessary safety measures and precautions.

helping the chain have an extensive national presence with over 250 branches and employing over 7,000 staff across the UK. Despite the success in their respected fields, Jamil and Faisal wanted to challenge themselves by becoming Co-founders of National Care Group (NCG) in 2016. National Care Group soon became one of the UK’s largest providers of care, supporting over 1,200 individuals and operating in nearly 250 locations in England and Wales. Both have been recognised for their entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to growing the company by recently winning the ‘Scale-up Entrepreneur the Year’ at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards North West.
