Making Contrast Your Friend You Are Creators

wanting. You seem to believe that if you could somehow push hard enough against what you do not want that it would go away, when, in reality, every moment of attention that you give to it means you are actually, for that moment, choosing it and, therefore, it is a part of your vibration. Your attention to it means you are including it.

Whatever it is you are giving your attention to causes you to offer a vibrational output that the Universe is matching. So what happens to most of you is that you are not offering the pure signal that you mean to offer. In other words, you would like to tell the Universe what you are wanting, but most of you are not only telling the Universe what you want but what you don’t want. So what your signal is offering or outputting is contradicted. It’s not pure.

You are Creators who have come forth into this physical dimension as extensions of that Nonphysical Energy.

And you were very exhilarated about coming forth into this contrasting experience because you knew that out of the contrast you would be able to come to clear decision.

Can you feel the power in the word “decision?” Can you feel the difference between saying, “I want that” or “I would like to have that” and “I have decided?”

Can you feel that a decision is a more focusing of the Energy? That is what a Creator is.

A Creator is one who focuses Energy.

A Creator is one who uses the contrast to help you decide — but then once you have decided, you give your full attention to that which you have decided.

The Formula Says The formula for creating anything says, “Identify the desire.” That’s easy. Contrast helps you do that. And once you’ve identified the desire, achieve a vibrational match with the desire. And when you do that, as Esther said, “It’s a done deal.” When you are in vibrational harmony with your own desire so that your output is singular and pure, the Universe must deliver to you that which is your desire. We hear you sometimes say, “Abraham, I want more money.

I’m so tired of the struggle.” And we say, “That is not a pure vibration.” When you say, “I want a new red car,” the Universe responds to the vibration of your desire.

But then when you say, “But a new red car is too expensive,” the Universe responds

Very often, what happens in your physical realm is that as you look around at the contrast and you see what you do not want — it helps you in knowing what you do want. But very often you spend more of your time focused upon what you are not wanting than upon what you are

to that vibration, too. So when the Universe is responding to two contradictory vibrations, you stand right where you are.

realign it if it gets out of alignment.

That’s really all there is to it.

You have this magnificent Guidance System within you that lets you know whether — in any moment — you are a vibrational match to your own desire or not. You can literally feel it. You can tell by the way you feel what the vibration of your being is. When you are feeling elation, when you are feeling joy, when you are feeling appreciation, when you are feeling love... those feelings are indicators that you are in vibrational harmony with your desires and with your Core Energy. But when you feel anger or frustration or blame or guilt or any of those negative emotions, like fear... that means that, in that moment, you have your attention upon something that is not a vibrational match to your Core Energy or to your desire.

Your emotions are your barometer to let you know about vibration. So as you begin to pay attention to the way you feel, you are then, and only then, able to align your energies with your Core, and with your own, desire.

You can offer your vibration on purpose. That’s what visualization is.

That’s what imagination is: Projecting thought Energy on purpose.

Most of our physical human friends are not doing much visualizing. Most of you are observing what-is. Now that can be a good thing. It often isn’t, however.

It sort of depends on what you are observing.

Visionaries Thrive

If you are running around, and, out of habit, observing, then you’re up and down all over the place.

But if you pay attention to the way you feel — and you are deliberately choosing thoughts for the very selfish reason that they feel better — then you are in alignment with who you are.

If you are mostly an observer (and most of you are) you are thriving in good times but suffering in bad times. Because whatever you’re observing is reflected in your vibration. So as you observe it, you radiate a vibration that matches it. The Universe accepts that as your point of attraction and gives you more like it which then you observe. So the better it gets the better it gets — or the worse it gets the worse it gets. But if you are a visionary, you thrive in all times. Because as a visionary, you have learned to hold your vibration in the place that matches your desire.

Basically you have one function that breaks down into two activities. The two activities are: Line up your Energy. And

This is another fine mess you’ve gotten me into!” I replied. And they’re not kidding.

Things are crackin’ here on the home front. And we are truly loving every minute of it.

I know that what Abraham means is that once you begin to access this wonderful, powerful Energy that it is not possible to find enough time or action to then respond to what you have begun with your thought. And that the key is then to imagine, remember, script, and pretend with further details about now dealing with what you have set into motion with your initial thought. Boy, is this fun!

And so, while we are always scrambling a bit in the action part of

Study Group Guidelines tant part each of them plays in the joyful expansion of our work. Our daughter, Tracy, is now Tracy Ayers.

She and David were married June 28th in San Antonio. Their wedding was magnificent and they are already living happily ever after.

Each seminar seems to us to be the very best ever. We laugh, now, when we say that, but we really do mean it. It feels to us that the group we just completed will now travel to the next city and the evolving questions will pick up right where we left off. It’s as if you guys are all connected out there in the cosmos somehow. Ya think? We still don’t really understand how all of this works, but we are having a glorious time in the exploration of it. And we are so appreciative of your part in all of this.

There surely are not two more blessed people on this planet than the two of us. We are knocked over, on a daily basis, by the good things that flow to us. We are ever appreciative and ever consciously aware of how good our life is, and we wish this wonderful state of being for each one of you.

Connect first to your Source, and then everything wonderful will follow from that.

Understand that the connection is there in your laugh, in your joy, in your interest, in your fun...It’s not some big metaphysical thing. It’s not some big spiritual thing. It is the pure simplicity of joy. That’s all it is.

I was loaned your introduction tape a few months ago, and since then I have been hooked.

I have read your book, A New Beginning, and listened to 6 other tapes, several times. I have been particularly struck by the tape on Law of Allowing, and I love the way Abraham explains the Laws of the Universe and how they affect our life experience.

But what I enjoy as much as anything is the humor that is interjected in the discussions, which really helps to lighten up the atmosphere. The Rye weekend was so full of energy and excitement. Everyone I connected with felt it too. The performance—if I might call it that—is evolving meticulously into absolute perfection. The sound system is really great and I love the Madonna mike—a perfect hair accessory.

Esther, you were a perfect vision speaking and moving so fluidly and beautifully—truly inspirational. At first the room felt overwhelming and then I began to feel the energy fill it up and embrace us all. I loved it when you were in the back taking notes, Jerry, because then I could see your reactions to what was going on. In Philadelphia I came to realize how important the connection between the two of you is to the experience. These performances, Rye in particular, are as radiant, entertaining and uplifting as any piece of performance art I’ve experienced—even more so because they’re so interactive—and done without all the embellishments of music, lights and special effects. I’ve been participating for only two years and have experienced a quantum expansion and refinement within the workshops, tapes and my own life. The Calendar is perfect. I wanted to begin using it the day I received it but I decided to follow the “instructions” (because they always work). So I’m leafing through it now and clarifying my focus so that when I begin on the first of the month I will be able to use it more effectively. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS “Why Bad Dreams?”

trained to pay attention to your vibration — but you have been trained to be objective, trained to give your attention to things. You have been trained to give your attention to people in authority and to listen when somebody says, “This is important.” You have been trained to see something that is wrong and push against it. There’s a war against drugs and a war against poverty and a war against crime and a war against all kinds of things. And in each of those scenarios, as you are looking at this thing that you do not want and pushing against it — you are not pushing it away, but instead you are holding it in your vibration.

So, as physical beings who have been trained to do just about everything other than be sensitive to your vibration, most of you are including all kinds of things in your vibration that you don’t know you’re including. But, you’re here in this physical time/place reality because you are Creators. And the manifestation isn’t only to delight you — the physical manifestation is to help you know how you’re flowing your Energy.

When something happens in your experience, instead of getting so worried about it, because it’s temporary, anyway — there it went again, there it went again — you can’t hold it in your now, anyway...Why you get so upset over things that manifest in real life, or in dream state, is illogical.

Those manifestations are only temporarily there to give you a reading on how you’ve been vibrating — and if you don’t like it, change the way you’ve been vibrating. But, because most of you are observers you don’t look at it that way. You’ve been trained to face reality, haven’t you? You’ve been trained to tell it like it is. And so, if you’re giving a lot of attention to what-is, then you’re giving a lot of vibrational output about what-is. And what is the Universe

JERRY: Something I don’t understand.

I’ve heard you mention that when we go to sleep that we go back in harmony with our Core vibration, that joyous purity...

ABRAHAM: So why a bad dream, eh?

JERRY: Okay, good! I didn’t even have to ask the question.

ABRAHAM: Well, for brevity’s sake we decided to read your mind. (Fun!) Have you heard the scientists say that what feels to you like a dream that took place all night, actually takes place in seconds? As you are going out of consciousness or back into consciousness...But at different depths of your sleep state, you are translating through your physical conscious format. And so, that dream that you think you dreamed is just your interpretation of the Energy.

A dream scenario can be beneficial in helping you, as Deliberate Creators, to understand your vibrational output.

Hold this thought: It’s the formula for creating, and it says, “What I’m thinking and feeling, and what I’m getting — is always a vibrational match.” So to break that down a little more clearly, “What I’m outputting vibrationally and what the Universe is delivering back to me in terms of a manifestation is always a vibrational match. Always. Without exception.” A dreamscape or a dream scenario is a manifestation. It’s not a manifestation that is big and bold and present in your experience as a real life manifestation — but it is a manifestation.

So what you’re dreaming is a vibrational match to what you’re outputting.

You see, most physical beings are not aware of their vibration. You haven’t been

There’s no such thing as exclusion.

There is only inclusion. More simply, there’s no such thing as no. There is only yes. When you see something that you want, and you say “yes” to it, you’re including something that you want in your vibration. But when you see something you don’t want, and you say “no” to it, you’re including something you don’t want in your vibration. Whatever you’re giving your attention to, you’re including. So, as you watch the television, you say, “No. No. Don’t want that. Get it away. What if this happens?” You’re including every bit of that in your vibration — and it might turn up in a dream.

The dream is there to show you that what you’re vibrating, often without meaning to, you are still including in your mix. And so, the dream is a manifestation that says to you, “Look, this is what you’re vibrating.

Keep it up, and it may be a bigger part of your experience.” Not just in the dream.

Or it may become a recurring dream, or not just a recurring dream, it may start showing up in the people around you or in the experiences around you — because, what you’re vibrating and what you are living are always a vibrational match. You have an enormous amount of leeway, but once it starts turning up in your dreams it’s a pretty good indicator that it’s been pretty heavily a part of your vibration. Helpful?

ABRAHAM: Is he teaching you a lot?

That was the plan. Are you staying out of his way? That was his plan, too.

GUEST: I’m doing my best. Trying to, and that’s my intention. For the last six months, Dan and I have become very clear that we would like to get more sleep.

And there’s a lot of thought out in the masses about this, and I’m just wondering...How much of it is that we’re tapping into that? That you don’t get enough sleep as new parents. How much of it is that I need to redefine what I believe about how much sleep I need and when I need it?

ABRAHAM: Well certainly both of those factors are a big part of all of this.

How many hours a day do you think your baby sleeps?

GUEST: I’m not sure. Twelve, maybe.

ABRAHAM: And so, is he sleeping a great deal during the day and then not wanting to sleep at night? Well, wake him up. (Fun!) In other words, most of you need far less sleep than you think you do, and sleep is actually a mechanism of escape and sometimes conscious and sometimes unconscious. As we said earlier, when you slumber, you are no longer consciously focused here — and when you are no longer consciously focused in the physical realm, your cork raises to the surface again. Your vibration raises. So the reason for sleep is for the alignment of Energy, and the idea that you need a lot of sleep is not true at all. You would all be better off if you would sleep for a couple of hours and get up and do something and sleep for a couple of hours and get up and do something.

But most of you are using slumber to try to keep yourself from having to do something you don’t want to do, anyway. There is nothing, in all of the Universe, more delicious than to have an object of attention that you’re focused upon and you be in physical, vibrational alignment with your object of attention.

To have Nonphysical Energy, the same Energy that creates worlds, flowing through you toward your object of attention, nothing is better than that. And if you were doing that on a regular basis, you would never want to sleep. And so, if you are wanting to sleep, it’s usually because you’re pushing against some things, Your tiredness is always and only about resistance. It’s about that contradiction in Energy.

the nap time if you can. The baby may have his days and nights mixed up a bit, sleeping more in the day and then ready to romp and play in the night so...

GUEST: It’s more just not a deep sleep and waking up to nurse a lot. Fussiness.

Everything is about vibration. The Universe is responding to your vibrational output. Well, you can tell what you’re vibrational output is by the way you feel.

So what you feel and what you are outputting are the same thing. So if you are feeling sleep deprivation. Kind of ornery.

Kind of achey. Kind of uncomfortable and not rested. And you’re saying, “I want, or I need, more sleep,” you can’t get there from there. So what you have to do is remember what it feels like to wake up from a good night’s sleep. “It feels so good to wake up and have my body feel alert and eager. It feels so good to just sort of come awake naturally and gradually and just sort of slowly move into the day. It feels so good to feel that exhilaration of being alive and eagerness to get going on some projects...” Something that will really help you is if you are doing a little prepaving, and prepaving means setting forth the thought. Imagine it in advance. So let’s say tonight when you go to bed or even this afternoon before you go to bed, for 17 seconds, maybe 17 seconds two or three times, you imagine or

JERRY: Then why do babies sleep?

ABRAHAM: A baby, initially, is slumbering a great deal, often twenty or twenty-two hours a day in the very early days because the baby is transitioning from the higher, purer vibration into the lower, slower vibration.

And so, he is sleeping, literally, for selfpreservation. He is taking a little dose of your lower, slower negative Energy a little bit at a time. But once he acclimates, he doesn’t want to sleep nearly as much as you want him to, and that’s why parents struggle so much with their children. It is because you want them to do something that is not natural to them. That’s why those early years that you call the formative years... Those are the years in which you trample out their intuitive knowing.

Well, if you’ve really found the feeling place of that, that’s not saying that your baby may not awaken, because it probably will because that’s the habit that’s in motion. But you probably won’t feel resistance when it happens, and it will probably be a shorter time awake, and you’ll probably go back to sleep more easily and you’ll probably still wake up more rested.

So what happens is, if there’s something that you really want and you are asleep, you are not attracting while you are asleep. But, your Inner Being knows that you are really wanting it. So your Inner Being watches for a time when your vibration is absolutely neutral. When there’s no resistance. You are in vibrational harmony with your Core Energy, and you will be alerted to wake state. So when you wake up, in that place of not pushing against, if you would take that opportunity then to think about what you want and why you want it — you could, from that more powerful place, direct your Energy toward your object of attention.

It’s a powerful time. And so, you may discover that you may be waking up quite often now that we have... And when you do, recognize that it’s a good thing not a bad thing. “It is my opportunity in a place of pure Energy to refocus and restate what I am wanting.”

The other thing that we would encourage you to do, if you are in this position of not getting enough sleep...Look for other opportunities to soothe yourself: In the middle of the day, get off if you can, and quiet your mind.

Soothe yourself more by sitting with a cup of something that you like to eat or drink.

Soak your feet more often, or take a nice bath more often. Look for other ways to soothe yourself. Because that’s all sleeping is.

It’s a soothing — and you don’t have to be asleep to get soothed.

Have you heard scientists, or other physical beings, talk about hypnosis and how a little bit of hypnosis is like many hours of slumber? And people who have been under hypnosis will tell you how

Why am I awake?” We say, it doesn’t matter. The fact that you are awake means that there is value for you in this moment.

When you come forth into your physical perspective from your Nonphysical Perspective, you have an eagerness about everything. After you’ve been here for a while, you tend to sort of amass things that you are pushing against. And as you hold these things that you do not want, then it is more difficult for you to find vibrational harmony with what you do want.

We encourage you to play with spending 17 seconds on any topic. If you hold any thought, positive or negative, wanted or not wanted, if you hold a thought purely for 17 seconds, that at the 17 second point, another thought just like it joins it.

And as these two thoughts coalesce, there is a combustion. And as these two thoughts combust, they are parlayed into one more evolved, faster vibrating thought. And when it happens, you feel it. It feels like heightened interest or enthusiasm. If you hold that, now more evolved, thought for another 17 seconds, then when you cross that 34 second mark, the same thing happens. Another thought like the more evolved thought now joins it, and there’s another combustion point. Only this time, it moves much further than it did the first time, because the two thoughts that combined were bigger to begin with. Purely hold a thought for 17 seconds until it combusts and another thought joins it, and the Energy in that combustion is equivalent to 2,000 action hours. If you work a normal 40 hour a week job, that’s about what you work in a year. 17 seconds of pure thought, allowing the combustion, gives you that much Energy. Your action is not very important by comparison. Cross the 34 second mark, and you can multiply your action by ten. That’s 20,000 action hours. Cross the 51 second mark, and you can multiply by ten again. That’s 200,000 action hours. If you can hold a thought, purely, without contradicting it, until you cross the 68 second mark — that’s just four times 17 — you can multiply by ten again. That’s over 2,000,000 action hour equivalent. We’re talking about accessing the Energy that Creates worlds. And the reason that it is not fathomable to most of you is that most of you don’t make it past the eight second mark without contradicting your desire.

Pickiness & Thoughts Imagine that you are going on a road trip and you’re going to drive eight or nine hours, and a friend of yours, a teenager, has lovingly loaned you a bag of his cassettes tapes, music tapes, and he has a very wide, diverse interest in music. And so, the first tape you pop into your player in your car is hard metal rock music, and as you hear it twanging, it sets you on edge. You can feel right away that it’s not a match to your mood or your taste in music, can’t you? Well, would you feel obliged to hear it out? Or would you pop that bugger out of there and reach for something else? You can tell by the way you feel when you’ve found your musical match, can’t you? And all thoughts are that way.

We want you to be as discriminating about your thoughts as you are about your music or about the food you eat or about the car you drive. We see you picky in many areas, and we want you to extend that pickiness to thought. Make a decision that nothing is more important than that you feel good, so that you are more selectively sifting through the data of your memory or the data of your observation.

Have one singular intent, and that is to find a vibration that is worthy of the vibration of your Core.

Find something that matches, because when it matches, Well-being must be your experience.

It can be no other way.

In other words, he will say, “You will awaken fully rested, and you will feel as if you had a full eight hours sleep.” Well, haven’t you ever wondered why that’s possible, when he hasn’t had eight hours sleep? It’s because in that mindset, there has not been resistance, and so, the Energies of his body have been allowed to align. And so, the refueling or the realignment or the Energy infusion is taking place. You never did need slumber. You could go without slumber if you could hold yourself in a place of Pure Positive Energy.

with it, and, all of a sudden, you find harmony with the decision, and you start to feel the Energy run through you, and it feels so good. And you say, “Ah, I feel good. I’m in harmony with my decision.”

As you play with this a little while, you will find yourself eager for the contrast that gives you reason to want — and then eager for exposure to more data which lets you test your harmony or disharmony with your decision.

Friends, this is what molding Energy is. The difference that you are looking for, and the difference that we want so much for you to hear is, there is a big difference between seeing contrast and not wanting that and preferring this, and in turning your full attention to what you don’t want and trying to get rid of that. What keeps happening to you is that, in your misunderstanding, you push against the part you do not want, and then it envelops you.

And then you feel not powerful. And then you feel that there are adversaries and other things out there that are controlling your experience.

But when you discover the art of “yesing, yes-ing, yes-ing.” Never again saying “no” to anything. In other words, just long enough to identify what the “yes” is, but “yes-ing” your way through physical experience. In your “yes-ing”, you connect to the Stream. The Nonphysical promise to you is, “Ask and it shall be given.”

And the answer is always, “yes.” We have enjoyed this interaction immensely.

There is great love here for you. We are complete.

The Answer is Yes! Let us give you a sort of scenario of the way we see this physical experience and this delightful exposure to contrast that you are all a part: How wonderful it is to live some contrast that brings you to a place where you say, “I want this.” And we say, oh, it is so good, because if the contrast didn’t exist, you would not come to that focused place of saying, “I want this.” The decision is so powerful. So then, imagine, coming to the decision but not having the habit of being a vibrational match to the decision.

Contrasting Stick Ends

Your work is to achieve vibrational harmony with your own desire, and that’s why you must begin to play games of visualization.

You have been so trained to weigh the pluses and the minuses, the pros and the cons, that in your learned objectivity, you rarely, if ever, cross the 17 second mark holding any thought that matters.

In every particle of the Universe there is that which is wanted and lack of it. And so, when you pick up the stick that has wellness on one end — it has illness on the other end. Do you know it’s a really rare one of you that we hear saying the word “wellness” or “health” or “Well-being” that we don’t feel in your vibration exactly the opposite? In other words, you’re using the word to try to compensate. You don’t mean to, but the reason that you do it is because when you were very little and you learned these words, you not only learned the way the word sounded or how to use the word in the sentence or how to make the word with your mouth — you learned the way the word felt from the people around you who were using the word.

emotions that are your clear-cut Guidance saying to you, “Hey, you’re not, in this moment, in vibrational harmony with your own desire.” And that’s when your work begins.

When you identify and hold your thought, purely, on any topic for 17 seconds, it is enough to set the Universe into motion. And the Universe — which has infinite ability and resources to match the vibration of your being — will do so.

Now, it’s happening all of the time, anyway, but most of you are not making the correlation. It isn’t until you deliberately hold a thought and then see the Universal response to it that you really begin to understand what’s going on.

Play these games of visualization for a few days. It will be such fun for you, and if you will do it, it will give you two very important things. First, it will show you that you can hold a thought for 17 seconds. That’s a “biggee”, bigger than you know. And the other is, it will show you that the Universe will absolutely, every time, respond to the purity of your thought. Very good.

Vibrational Vocabulary When your mother was talking about money, because you wanted some and she was explaining to you that there wasn’t enough money...when you overheard them talking about money, you learned the word — and you subliminally learned the vibration of the word.

So now, when you offer the word, money, you often offer a vibration that is not in harmony with your desire but in vibrational harmony with what you once learned.

So then, when you introduce a desire... When you say, “I really want something that costs more money,” and your belief about money is not up to speed with your desire, you feel the contradiction. You feel the disappointment. You feel the worry. You feel those negative
