for Florence Knoll’s angular furniture. Andrew Kromelow would arrange any displaced tools at right angles on all surfaces, and called this routine knolling, in that the tools were arranged in right angles—similar to Knoll furniture. The result was an organized surface that allowed the user to see all objects at once. The American sculptor Tom Sachs spent two years in Gehry’s shop as a fabricator and adopted use of the term from Kromelow. He described the term in the following steps:
BULLET II: ALWAYS BE KNOLLING · Scan your environment for materials, tools, books, music, etc. which are not in use. · Put away everything not in use. If you aren’t sure, leave it out. · Group all ‘like’ objects. · Align or square all objects to either the surface they rest on, or the studio itself.

TARGET DEMOGRAPHIC Kellen Neilsen is a 23-year-old self-proclaimed free spirit. She’s a senior at The University of Texas. Even though she should be graduating in May, Kellen has yet to declare a major. It’s too big of a commitment and that it would mean succumbing to the “real world” full of jobs and early mornings rather than late nights and social events.
Her family and childhood friends live in Arkansas, but she also has ties in London from a study abroad trip her sophomore year. It’s for these reasons and many others that she is a social media junkie: another being wardrobe inspiration. Kellen shops mostly online, on sites like Shop Bop and stores she finds via links on Pinterest and Tumblr. She’s very picky and likes to own things other people don’t. She is currently listening to Bombay Bicycle Club and The XX.
One of Kellen’s passions is photography. She loves how photographs are captured memories that you can have forever and that don’t just live in your head. Through her picture taking and

social media, Kellen documents just about every second of her life and loves to be one step ahead of everyone else.

THE WORLD OF OUR READER Facebook & Twitter These are the heavyweights of the social media world. Facebook has 1.06 billion active users per month. Its relatively minimalistic, picture heavy with a super friendly vibe. It’s active and mobile. Twitter was the fastest growing social media platform last year. Its a “microblogging” website where people voice their opinions in bite-size chunks. Its perfect for the shrinking attentionspans of our newer generations.
Urban Outfitters Social Media is the definition of trendy. And so is urban outfitters. It captures a good (younger)chunk of our target audiencec. The things they sell are cheeky, witty and stylish. You can hang out there and read interesting books while your girlfriend shops.
Wired magazine Wired is a more informational, techy, geeky magazine suitable for younger and older (30-50) audiences. It stays up to dateand is a great resource for audiences who like new technology and want to improve their tech-lives.
OUR HERO A Tumblr Famous person is someone that is very aware of their online presence. They work hard to be current, knowing what’s trendy so that they can please their followers and have the opportunity to gain more, however, they do not acknowledge that they’re thirsty for followers, because to do so would be very uncool.
However, a Famous Tumblr’er is actually cool because they have tons of followers and are able to set trends themselves, further boosting their self esteem.
RESPONSE Being young, dumb, and into fun, Knoller’s audience is likely to respond to funny and lighthearted explanations of social media phenomenon as well as further investigation and in-depth infor-

Al B – full name Albert Leopold Boyce – died of heart failure in 2006 aged 43, after years of drinking heavily, but, in his prime, he was known for creating the Harlem Shake dance move. He used to perform it as part of the half-time entertainment show in basketball tournaments at Rucker Park, New York.
His 69-year-old mother, Sandra Boyce, told a New York newspaper: “When Al was dancing, we told him try to put a patent on it.” Family friend Tony Arias, said: “He would be drunk, and when you went to get him off the court he would start laughing and performing the shake.”
The dance became known around Harlem as the “Al B”, but it was not long before local teenagers picked it up and it was renamed the Harlem Shake. Since then it has inspired a club track of the same name.

Make no mistake, Huffman isn’t talking about a virtual assistant along the lines of Apple’s Siri, which responds to your questions. He’s talking about a way to interact with a search engine — and all its associated products — that includes it gathering so much data about your life and habits, it will start anticipating your needs. Cool? Yes. Creepy? Maybe that, too.

Recently, Google has publicly unveiled new photos and the first video from the real view of their augmented reality glasses prototype. The images show what the wearer sees while reading a newspaper, catching a football in the backyard and helping a smiling child play on the jungle gym.
Google Glass is supposed to perform many of the same tasks as smartphones, except the spectacles respond to voice commands instead of fingers touching a display screen. The glasses are equipped with a hidden camera and tiny display screen attached to a rim above the right eye. The engineers who have been building Google Glass tout the technology as a way to keep people connected to their email, online social networks and other crucial information without having to frequently gaze down at the small screen on a smartphone. It’s been a success thus far, said Howie Caspe, manager of programming at Bonnaroo, but “we have yet to even scratch the surface of what is possible.”
For the upcoming 2013 festival, Caspe and the rest of the Bonnaroo team used a massive internet campaign. The first thing you need to decide is what type of ticket you will purchase: a general admission or VIP ticket. VIP tickets, which are much more expensive, offer perks such as special entrances, reserved seating at the main concert stage and campsites much closer to Centeroo, the location of all stages, tents and vendors. Buy a general admission ticket as early as possible, because the longer you wait, the more expensive the ticket will

Getting through security to enter the site can be a long process on day one. You may wait in your vehicle for a couple of hours before you make it to your camping site. Make sure you have plenty of gas before you approach the entrance gate.
Be prepared for all types of weather. It is often very hot during the festival, and sunscreen is essential. Thunderstorms are also frequent. Nights can be cool, so make sure you have a sweater and blankets for your tent. Sneakers are highly recommended because the site can become very muddy after rain.

@elijahjohnson15 I hope you break every bone in your body and never play basketball again.
The seconds were winding down, and Elijah Johnson didn’t care. He stuffed the ball in the basket like it was his last chance to breathe. On Monday night, Elijah Johnson delivered an apology that momentarily turned his celebratory postgame news conference into a Richard Nixon-like "mistakes were made" media event.
During the gap between the ferocious fast-break dunk that capped No. 6 Kansas' 108-96 overtime win at Iowa State and the time he entered the media room at Hilton Coliseum, wise public relations officials and coaches probably advised Johnson to right his wrong.
So that's what the senior did. Instead of commencing the Q&A with a discussion about his career-high 39-point effort, he said sorry.

65 If you use Twitter -- professionally or personally, or both -- you've probably seen an increase in six-second looping videos in your feed. They come from Vine, a new mobile app from Twitter that lets iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad users create and post short video clips to Twitter and Facebook. If you don't have it yet, just give up.
