FADE IN: EXT. STREET-NAPERVILLE, ILLINOIS – NIGHT It is 8:50 p.m. Friday. It is the middle of November, a cold but clear day in Naperville. The stars are perfectly visible and there is a full moon. The street is quiet just a couple young PEOPLE are walking quickly in party dresses to somewhere. This is a tiny street, there are just a few cars parking in front of the houses.

On the corner of the street, there is a small pub called Tokaj Pub. It is an inside-outside small pub, but just a few people smoking outside.

INT. TOKAJ PUB – NIGHT It is 8:52 p.m. It is warm and cozy inside. In front of the entrance, there is a small counter with a beer tap in the middle. There are two shelves with alcohol, a fridge for nonalcohol beverages, and there is a small spa for tea bags.

From the entrance door, it seems like a huge Mediterranean window. In this room, there are two small Mediterranean tables with chairs. On the wall, there are two Toscana landscape paintings hanging.

Behind the counter, there is a woman BARTENDER at around 28 years. She is sinking. There are two old man drinking beer.

Left from the entrance door, there is a bigger and longer room. The floor is wooden, the wall is light yellow, the lightning is not strong. In the end of the room, there is a horizontally long mirror to make the place bigger. There are five table with four-four chairs. On the tables, there are fake flowers. In the other side of the room, there is a large ’L’ shape comfortable sofa and a huge LCD TV on the wall.

There is a young group, both girls and boys who are sitting there.

Some of them are drinking beer, but the other half of the group is drinking wine. They are about 30 years old. They are speaking about their jobs and bosses. Some of them are complaining but all in all they like their job. They have a good time and enjoy their company.

ADAM BARBOR, 23 years old, is sitting alone. There are a glass of Rosé and a sweet white wine on the table. His eyes is hazelnut brown as well as his hair. He is wearing a little blue flowers patterned white shirt, a dark grey jeans and a black classic Converse. ’The edge of glory’ from Lady Gaga is played on his IPod which is on the table but it can be heard.

He seems calmed but he is waiting for someone.

INT. TOKAJ PUB – 8:59 P.M. The door is open with a noise of ’ding.’

ELLIE CANDER, 22 , is walking into the pub. She is wearing a simple but elegant white shirt with lace on the shoulder part and the bottom, black latex leggings and a black high-heals boots. She has a red leather Michael Cors wallet and her arms and she also keeps her winter coat. She has long, blond, and wavy hair. There is just a natural make-up on her. She has bewitch blue eyes which can capture everyone.

She hangs her coat and in that time she can see Adam. She is smiling and sit down opposite to the man.

ELLIE CANDER You knew what I wanted to drink! (smiling) Adam smiles.

ADAM BARBOR How are you, Ellie? I’ve seen you a long time ago. (drinking from the rosé) ELLIE CANDER I am good. Well, we’ ve never meet so often. (drinking) Adam smiles and cannot tear his eyes away.

ELLIE CANDER (CONT’D) How is your new job? Do you enjoy to do what you always want? Writing poems… wao!

ADAM BARBOR I love it! I feel I changed. I can explore myself every day. When I start to write, I feel I am under drug uses. (laughing) I feel I jump into another world where I can do whatever I want.

ELLIE CANDER (smiling) I am glad for you.(pause) That was the problem before.(pause) You always wanted to see more in every situation. You was looking for the dramas. Always.

Ellie doing rounds with her finger on the top of the glass, staring the wine while she speaks, and then look at the man with magical looking.

ADAM BARBOR (staring at Ellie’s finger) Really? That’s why we could never be together?(pause) You like just me, you love dramas.(pause) Our relationship is about dramas! (pause) Ellie sighs and crunching her neck.

ADAM BARBOR (CONT’D) I can’t believe that you are so beautiful. Why can you stop everything in my brain? Your fingers on the glass, the neck crunching enchanted. You are so mysterious and special. And I know you like to doing with me that.

ELLIE CANDER (mysteriously smiling) Really? I agree we cannot live without dramas. But stop analyzing me! I know you want to start that and no, I won’t play that game! One of our problems is that, you know well. Ah (shaking her had) I should go!

Ellie goes out quickly.

INT. DUPAGE RIVER – 9:50 P.M. It is below freezing. The slow-flowing river can be heard, and the collision of the ice cubes. It is really comforting.

There is no wind, the sky is perfectly clear, so the stars can be seen.

ADAM BARBOR I knew I can find you here.

Ellie stands next to the river and stares the sky.

ELLIE CANDER I wished you came after me. Why cannot we leave each other and go on our own way? (looks at Adam) Adam goes closer to Ellie and touch her hips. Ellie winces.

There is ’Young and Beautiful’ from Lana Del Rey playing on Adam’s IPod. ADAM BARBOR (breathes Ellie’s neck) This smell deletes every thoughts from my mind. (pause) Why do you have an effect on me as much? (speaking very quiet close to Ellie’s ear) Ellie winches.

ELLIE CANDER Maybe.(smiling) Do you remember what did you tell me about the moon last time when we were here?

Both laugh.

ADAM BARBOR Look! When I was 4, it was pretty logical that the moon is a huge pizza, the residents of the ’Pizza Moon’ are people with triangle face, and they have salami, ham, cheese smells which is depends on what kind of pizza they are prefer. (laughing) I was really disappointed when I realized I was wrong.

Both laugh again.

ELLIE CANDER I want to live my life that there is no consequences. We could do whatever we want. Maybe in another world, we have a doppelganger and they can do whatever they want.

ADAM BARBOR (smiling) I thought the same. To tell the truth, I am always thinking on that.

(MORE)

ADAM BARBOR (CONT'D) (pause) They are probably married, just staring themselves and they can perfectly know what the others think. (pause) I like them.

Adam and Ellie say in the same time.

ELLIE CANDER It’s time to go.

EXT. SPRING STREET – 11:02 P.M. There is no one on the street. One of the street lamp is flashing 5 times and then goes wrong. The street becomes totally dark. There are dark clouds on the sky. Far away, it is lightning and thundering can be heard quietly.

Ellie and Adam walks next to each other, they do not speak.

The fourth house is Ellie and her family ’s house. It is a wooden house with wooden fence. There are two huge pines in front of the fence.

They stop in front of the house and just stare each other. ’Run’ from Snow Patrol can be heard from the IPod. ADAM BARBOR (smile) It’s so hurt to listening this song. (pause) However, it’s good as well, because I can feel you in every single rhythm.

Adam touches Ellie face on both side and looks at her eyes.

It starts to rain heavily.

ADAM BARBOR (CONT’D) I love you! (pause) I cannot stop to not loving you! I tried to not meet with you and be with other friends, but I was always looking for you in other persons. I tried to imagine your personality into others, but none can be like you.

Honestly, I don’t really know your personality. I can’t read in your mind, you always surprise me. (pause) It’s 8 years from now and nothing changed.

ELLIE CANDER (teardrop in her eyes) You know that I love you,too!

They hug each other strongly and longly.

ADAM BARBOR Ellie?! Ellie are you okay?

Adam looks at Ellie face and start to shake her. Ellie cannot stand on her legs, cannot hear, her eyes are close.

ADAM BARBOR (CONT’D) (shouting and shaking) Ellie! Ellie! What’s wrong? Ellie!

Ellie wake up! (crying) Adam checks her pulse but nothing. Ellie heart stopped, she died. Adam falls on his knee to the ground. He cries and keep Ellie’s body. He feels dizzy, it is seems he is going to pass out. His head hits the ground.

INT. ADAM’S ROOM – WEDNESDAY It is 3:54 A.M. Storm can be heard from outside. There is a big working desk in the corner. The lamp is on, there are a lot of blueprints on the desk, some creashed paper on the floor, and a couple building mock-ups on the shell next to the table. The wall is light blue and there are some quotes on it. On the left there is a big window. On the right, there is a big LCD TV on the wall. Behind the desk, on the other side of the room, there is a double bed. Next to the bed, there is a wardrobe with mirror.

Adam wakes up, he can breath barely and he sweats. There are teardrops in his eyes. He checks his phone, what is the day and time. He seems really confused and scared. He types Ellie phone number into his phone. He shakes and he can write the right number for tray of the 3rd time.

INT. ELLIE’S ROOM – WEDNESDAY – 3:56 A.M. It is totally dark inside.

A phone rings. The ringbell is ’Run’ from Snow Patrol. It rings about 2 minutes.

Halo?
