FADE IN: EXT. MIAMI, FLORIDA – FONTAINEBLEAU HOTEL - NIGHT It is 3:30 in the morning in the lobby of the famous Fontainebleau Hotel in South Beach, Miami. Four people are standing in the lobby together, but none are making eye contact with each other.

The four people are: DIANE HEMING, 22, a student at Florida State University enjoying her week of spring break at the lovely beaches of Miami, Florida with her best friend. SANDY KLINE, 21, Diane’s best friend and fellow student at Florida State. DEAN LUTZ, a student from Arizona State University who met the two girls while walking on the beach earlier this morning. The fourth person is BAILEY ANGELO who came on spring break with Sandy and Diane. However, she is laying face down in the lobby of the Fontainebleau Hotel. DEAD. THE POLICE OFFICERS enter the hotel and walk over to the four people.

COP#1 My condolences go out to the loss of your friend, going to have to ask you to go back to your rooms night.

DEAN But what if I’m not even staying this ho-.

DIANE (interrupting Dean) You can sleep in our room for the night: we have an extra pullout couch.

COP#2 (To Dean) So you never even had a room at this hotel?

DEAN No sir, I’m staying with some friends from college on Ocean Avenue. I just met these girls on the beach and they invited me back to their hotel room, I didn’t know any of this was going to happen.

COP#2 Well it did, and it seems a little weird that you have been with these two girls for the past hour looking at their dead friend when you just met them earlier this morning.

DIANE (in an attempt to change the subject) Do any of you have any leads to who killed Bailey?

COP#2 We can’t disclose that information, but just keep your cell phones on the next couple days, we’ll be in contact with you.

SANDY (while fighting off tears) Diane, can we please go back to the room now?

DIANE Of course, Sandy, we’ve been here long enough.

Sandy, Diane, and Dean leave the lobby and head to the 3rd floor of the hotel where their room is located.

INT. HOTEL ROOM - NIGHT DIANE We have to figure out who did this.

DEAN There were just so many people here it go way too crazy.

SANDY (to Dean) Wait you think it was someone that we were with tonight?

DEAN (Stuttering) I-I mean I don’t know I’m just saying that there were a lot of different people that it could be.

SANDY Whatever, did you tell your friends what happened yet?

DEAN Yeah I just texted them, none of them can believe this.

At this time, a rock is thrown into the window thwir hotel room. Attached to the rock is a piece of paper that says. “I know who did it.” The three college kids rush towards the window to see who threw the rock but they see nothing on the vacant Miami street.

SANDY What is going on right now?

DIANE I don’t know, but I don’t like it and I don’t think I feel safe anymore.

DEAN Do you think whoever killed Bailey is coming for one of us next?

DIANE Sandy, I think you should call the number that police officer gave you earlier.

SANDY What should I say?

DIANE Just explain what’s happening and tell him we don’t feel safe.

Sandy takes out her phone and calls the police number given to her by one of the police officers, but no one answers. All three people in the room appear to be increasingly concerned that the police officer didn’t answer the phone.

DIANE (CONT’D) (starting to panic slightly) So what do we do now?

DEAN Just relax, I’m sure everything is fine.

SANDY (raising her voice significantly) Everything is fine? Do you understand that our friend was shot and killed a couple of hours ago and someone just threw a rock through our hotel window?

A loud knock on the door occurs. All three people in the room stop what they’re doing and stare at the door. It seems as though the knocking on the door is the only sound in the world.

Dean walks to the door and slowly opens it. It seems as though the door is taking hours to slowly open. Eventually the door opens and the three cops that were in the lobby are standing in the doorway.

COP#2 Don’t ask any questions, but you’re coming with us right now.

But wha-

DIANE

The three police officers aggressively grab all other people before Diane can finish her sentence.

The policeman drag the three students all the way down all three flights of stairs and into the lobby. Bailey’s body is not longer lying in the lobby but three forensic detectives are at the crime scene searching for fingerprints.

EXT. LOBBY COP#1 We know who murdered your friend.

SANDY What? Who was it? And why did you just drag us down here?

COP#1 (with a smirk) Ugh, I hate witnesses.

At this time, Cop #2 pulls out his pistol from the holster on his hip. He shoots Sandy, Dean and Diane all three in a matter of seconds.

He then turns to the two forensic detectives behind him and says, “Clean up their bodies too. I know the police uniforms would be a perfect disguise.�

The screen slowly in the mass murderers demented smirk eventually the screen goes black.
