Letter from the director

Hello and welcome to a place where nobody dared to go. I have been in love with this show since I first heard Olivia Newton-John sing the title song in my dad’s car many years ago and I could not have picked a better show for my directorial debut. These girls have put in so much work making this show the best it can be. If you are expecting the movie to come to life onstage… that isn’t exactly the case tonight. Tonight we will take that cult classic movie and make fun of every part we can, and I promise that you will be laughing the whole show. Like many things here at OLP this show would not be possible without a few amazing individuals who helped me make this show happen. Thank you to Dr. Lek for trusting me with this production, I know it is your favorite musical and I hope we do it justice. Thank you, Toni Russo, for being my sounding board, helping the girls, and reminding me to never back down from a challenge. To my stage management team: Jori, Alex, and Jeanette. Thank you for being the best team I could ask for and I am so proud of all the three have accomplished. To my fantastic cast: words cannot express how thankful I am that you trusted me and worked so hard to make this show everything I imagined and more. Finally, seniors, the amazing class of 2024. When I was a senior, you all came on campus as wide eyed freshmen. Now you all have grown into amazing people. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for all of you; you just have to believe you are magic. There are so many more people I wish I could thank, but this letter would be 10 pages long. Now, before the lights dim and the show starts I have one request: laugh loud, cheer louder, and have an amazing time.
