AUGUST 2014
A Message from the Director
I am very excited about the start of the 2014-15 school year at Charlotte Technical Center. I am truly blessed to be part of a unique
and wonderful learning institution that, each day, provides wonderful learning opportunities for our high school and adult students. This summer has been very busy at CTC, as we prepare for a new group of students to join us.
I am extremely excited about the upcoming school year. We will, once again, have the opportunity to work together to provide the
best possible delivery of service to our students and our community. This will include: • Updating and modifying our Student Success Plan. • Continuing to look at student and school data and let it drive what we do each day, both in and out of the classroom. • Continuing to increase, upgrade and improve our knowledge and use of technology in the classroom and school, as a whole. • Beginning preparation for the 2016 COE (Council on Occupation Education) visit. • Continuing to market existing programs and grow new programs based on interest, need and career opportunities in our community.
CTC continues to be the pace-setter in the programs that we offer our high school and adult students. I wish to continue to work
closely with our CTC Advisory boards, community organizations, CTC staff and CCPS district staff to take what we do at CTC to the next level of excellence and customer service.
The staff and I will continue to work hard and keep teaching and learning a top priority for all at Charlotte Technical Center.
Please do not hesitate to call any of us if you need assistance. I welcome the opportunity to meet and visit with you. If you are in the neighborhood, please feel free to stop by!
Sincerely, Bernard A. Duffy, Director
