Principal’s Message There were numerous accomplishments recently at IMS. Our phenomenal IMS Band teachers, Mrs. Chris Murray and Mr. Manny Camacho hosted a Pancake Breakfast and Silent Auction. The proceeds benefited the IMS Band Program. The Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble performed beautifully for their Music Performance Assessment and demonstrated why music education is important at IMS. These talented Eagles captivated audiences with exceptional instrumental performances. Special thanks and congratulations to our SciQuest teacher Mrs. Melissa Kazakavage, who sponsors our Robotic team. Our team, better known as “The Puzzlers”, won first place at the First Lego Robotic League. After a very long day of competition, the Robotics Team “wowed” the judges with their problem-solving ability. The judges went so far as to compare them to high school teams. This means the team will be attending the regionals and are Global Innovation Award Nominees. Congratulations to “The Puzzlers” and Coach “Kaz”! Our IMS Art Department has some talented Eagles as well. Several were recognized by having artwork displayed at the Norton Museum of Art. The artwork was selected by the museum for the Youth “Crafting Identity” Exhibition. Also, two of our amazing young artists were selected as finalists in this year’s 2020 ArtiGras Youth Art Competition. The theme was “Dive Deep into the Coral Reefs” and their work was amazing! We are so very proud of the accomplishments of our Eagles, the commitment of our teachers, and appreciate the support given by our IMS Community. At IMS, we are “Preparing our Eagles to SOAR into the future!” Eric Lundman Principal
