The mission of Loganville High School is to Educate in meaningful contexts, Encourage continual growth, and Empower students for success.
Dear LHS Parents, Guardians, and Students, As you read this year’s final issue of The Heat, the staff and students of LHS feel like we are in a jet flying toward EOC’s, final exams, graduation, and summer vacation. The LHS class of 2021 excitedly looks forward to their next step in life, our juniors impatiently wait to become the next LHS Senior Class of 2022, and there is a group of 8th graders, about a mile from here, that reluctantly anticipate making the move to LHS. We have had a great year this year, which has been marked with many successes, both academically and in extracurricular activities. You can read more information about these successes and keep up to date on everything going on at LHS by accessing the Loganville High School Facebook page or by viewing the public LHS calendar on our website: www.loganvillehigh.org. LHS congratulates our 2021 STAR Student Anderson Holcomb. The STAR student each year is the graduating senior who achieves the highest score on the SAT in his/her graduating class. Anderson’s composite SAT score this year is an incredible 1570, and he has selected his Advanced Placement Language and Composition teacher Ms. Tonya Pohlel as his STAR teacher. This is a great accomplishment for both Anderson and Ms. Pohlel. To the parents of our LHS seniors, I wish a great last month of school for you and your students. Please keep up to date with any senior information on the LHS website by clicking Resources > Senior Information. This page includes very important information about graduation events, parking, and ticketing. We look forward to graduation this year. Finally, parents, I thank you for all of the support that you show to Loganville High School and for the hard work you put into your students. What a blessing it is that we have been able to successfully get this far in this rather different school year. LHS thanks you for trusting us and for working so closely with us through the pandemic and all of the quarantining, uncertainty and worry it has brought about. We have terrific students at LHS, and it is an honor to work with them and with you. Mike Robison Principal
