PACETTI BAY MIDDLE SCHOOL

MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL Our Wildcats have had another fantastic year at Pacetti Bay. It is with great pride that we send our current Eighth grade students on to their next adventures in high school and with great excitement that we greet our largest rising Sixth grade class in the history of PBMS. I would like to thank all PTSO members along with our business partners for supporting our International Baccalaureate Middle School Years Programme (IBMYP); it is through your support that we are able to provide our students a worldclass education. Please review the following program offerings and facility information for the summer months:

• Summer Venture for rising Sixth grade students will be offered through three different camps on July 16th and July 17th, July 20th and July 21st and last choice would be July 23rd and July 24th. Students will have the opportunity to “jump-start” their middle school experience throughout our campus with experienced staff members in a fun and enjoyable environment. For more information on the Sixth Grade Summer Venture program, please visit our website at www-pbm.stjohns.k12.fl.us. • Grade level supply lists will be available on the PBMS website under your child’s grade level. The grade level links will also be the informational hub for all grade level specific information for both parents and students. • Visit our Summer Reading link on the Media Center website to access our Summer Reading assignment. There you’ll find all the information you need as well as other helpful links to prepare for the new year. • Summer Band Camp will be held at PBMS on June 15th through June 18th. Beginning students will meet in the morning from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. They will have the opportunity to work with Mr. Sellers and several other local band instructors for an introduction into our musical performing arts program. Advanced band members will be invited to attend an afternoon session from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm, in preparation for the new year. The administration, faculty and staff at PBMS hope you enjoy your summer break with family and friends. If you have any questions or need to register a new student, our campus will be open all summer, Monday – Friday, from 7:30 am-3:30 pm. Have a wonderful summer! Sincerely,

2 ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

JAY WILLETS, PRINCIPAL TRACI HEMINGWAY, ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL MARIE ANTOINE,

It has been a pleasure serving Pacetti Bay Middle School for the past two years. It is with a sad heart that I will not be returning to The Bay next year as I have been named the Principal of Timberlin Creek Elementary for the 2015-2016 school year. I am honored to have been given this opportunity. I have enjoyed every moment of my time with the staff, students, and families of The Bay. I will work closely with my replacement to ensure a smooth transition takes place. Again, I want to personally thank each of you for allowing me the opportunity to support your child during their middle school years.

Any medication left in the clinic after June 10th will be discarded according to policy. For your convenience, the clinic will be open beginning August 3, 2015 (one week prior to the first day of school for students) to accept your child’s medication and completed medication forms.
