Frontispiece to Marco's Animal Alphabet, printed from the blocks as a wonderfully large limited edition book of linocuts by Graham Moss at the Incline Press. Marco cut the blocks in 1979 and the book was printed with colours devised by Peter Allen and published in 2000, after Marco's death in 1998.

Royal Mail Christmas stamps, 1976, Virgin and Child, 6½p, Angel with Crown, 8½p, Angel appearing to the Shepherds, 11p, The Three Kings, 13p, from medieval embroideries in the Victoria and Albert Museum. 'One of my greatest pleasures has been to work on stamps. The design is a sort of puzzle. Into this tiny national visiting card has to be fi tted the sovereign's head, the value and the subject, commemorative or otherwise.'

London Underground seating moquettes. Under the auspices of Frank Pick, Christian Barman, London Transport's publicity officer commissioned Brent, 1937, Chevron, 1938, and Belsize, 1940. Other designers commissioned to design seating fabrics at the time included Paul Nash and Marion Dorn.
