LANDRY DESIGN GROUP
The primary concept for this residence was to design a home that incorporates modernist philosophies while being well adapted to today’s contemporary lifestyle. Located in a prestigious residential community on a 4-acre site, the house was further enhanced by incorporating the site’s large mature trees into the design. The prominence of these existing trees was such that they actually dictated the orientation and layout of the home, resulting in a project that becomes an integral part of the landscape from both an exterior and interior point of view. The exterior of the home comprises large glass walls, smooth hand-troweled stucco, and Pennsylvania bluestone laid in a ledger pattern. All of these materials were chosen for their ability to relate to each other as well as for their compatibility with the colors and textures of the natural surroundings.
