The Storyteller Peter Pan

With a pinch of fairy dust and a happy thought, the group soared over the rooftops of London and into the night sky. "Second star to the right and then straight on ‘til morning," Peter Pan explained. They were off to Neverland.

When they finally saw it, Wendy and her brothers couldn’t believe their eyes. The sea all around it was surely full of treasures, and who knows how many adventures they could have in all those trees!

They were swimming in a protected bay and, because they were Peter's friends, they were waiting for him to return so they could hear about all his adventures.

But there was danger in that wonderful place, too! A pirate’s galleon was moored just off the coast. On board, there were dangerous buccaneers with wooden peg legs, eye patches, and scary scars.

The pirates were commanded by the terrible Captain Hook, Peter Pan's worst enemy.

.

All that joy, however, would not last forever.

One day, perhaps secretly following Tinker Bell, Captain Hook managed to find Peter Pan's lair.

He waited for the boy to leave and put his terrible plan into action. He kidnapped the Lost Boys, Wendy, John and Michael.

When Peter returned, the only one left was Tinker Bell, who told him what had happened.

Songs of joy arose from the pirate ship: at last, Captain Hook would take revenge on his arch-enemy!

To have a bit of fun, the buccaneers set up a plank over the sea and forced their prisoners to join them or walk the plank, becoming shark food.

Wendy chose the sharks, but before she could jump, Peter arrived and swept her off to safety. Captain Hook was delighted: the trap had worked! But Peter wasn’t going to give up so easily. A duel began.

At times it seemed that Peter would win, and at others it seemed that Captain Hook was going to prevail. All that could be heard was the clanging of swords as they fought.

Busy battling Peter Pan, Captain Hook didn’t hear his other terrible adversary coming: a giant crocodile who had eaten his hand years before and who had been hunting him ever since.

With a leap, the crocodile tried to swallow him in one gulp. Hook stopped fighting and fled, but frightened as he was, he didn’t realize he was going the wrong way and he fell into the sea.
