The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), in partnership with the Interagency and International Support (IIS) program, is making significant progress on a state-of-the-art medical center in Louisville, Kentucky. This $920 million project will provide world-class health care to more than 45,000 veterans in Kentucky and southern Indiana.
The new 910,115-square-foot medical center, located on Brownsboro Road, will be a full-service, 104-bed hospital that integrates modern, patient-centered care concepts. A key feature of the facility is its Women’s Health Clinic, specifically designed to meet the unique needs of women veterans, with four Patient Aligned Care Teams dedicated to their care.
Construction of the facility is well underway, with completion anticipated in 2026. The project includes not only the hospital itself, but also extensive supporting infrastructure, including parking structures, a 42,205-square-foot central utility plant, roadways, sidewalks, and other site improvements.
